Booked a caravan at Blue Dolphin (waiting for the I don't go to those places) But I have booked a caravan for £49 pound My gas bill for 4 days is more than that
I'm at Primrose Valley now. Paid for full weekend but only staying for one night due to kids sporting stuff and then school. Still probably cheaper than using energy at home.
Just looked on there are you going the end of October? It's a class deal really goes from over 300 to 49 for 4 days. I've been to a caravan in winter and as long as you whack the fire and stuff on when you are in there it's comfortable. Also found it quite relaxing being inside when the rain was absolutely bouncing off the roof . If kids weren't at school I would be seriously tempted. Although they are 7 and 5 not sure they would last long before annoying each other and me!
A mate in the Inland Revenue now takes all of his chargeable stuff into work, phone, laptop, shaver, etc .... ... the cheeky sod even has rechargeable batteries and takes them in as well. That's taxpayers money!!!
I'd do the same if I had the chance. My only office day at home. So instead I have to charge a work laptop, ipad and phone at home. Ffs didn’t even think about that until I sat and replied to this post.
I have a static near skegie, my site rent works out about £6 a day. So for you to hire one at that price is pretty good.
Nowt better than the rain hitting the roof and a good book. Just bought myself a new awning with a end bedroom for my tourer.
I love caravans, even more when it is raining for some reason. Had a static at Barney when we were kids - proper memories. Would love one now but too much stuff in the way. Once I knock coaching on the head I am having one within an hour of my house, even if the family dont want to come. I will be happy as larry with some bottles, a radio and something to read.
We had one at Cotherstone, loved it, we have been staying at Doe park for a few weeks to reminisce, magic.
Redwell mate, near the golf club. I think it was river view where we went to see other kids and get play in the river.
We (my parents) had a caravan at East Lendings, which is now River View, I think, for a good few years when our kids were growing up. We had many good holidays there, the kids loved it and we've got lots of happy memories We spent many happy hours inside listening to the rain on the roof whilst playing 'snap' or other card or board games with the bairns
I played games with our lass there on our first holiday away together, amazing what you can do with Heinz sandwich spread.
Blue dolphin has great entertainment for the kids we went to loads of different ones while my two were growing they are 13 & 14 (15 next month) and aren’t bothered anymore but 5 & 7 is a perfect age
