    Dave has commissioned a painting from the artist who illustrates his Sunderland themed books ...

    ... it just arrived in a lorry <laugh>

    I've said he should do some prints, I'd have one.

    I had to read your post again to confirm its actually a painting....I thought it was a collage of prints at first.
    Absolutely brilliant......that is some talented artist.

    I still take a stainless steel flask, no bother whatsoever.
    I started to take one when I went TT many years ago and have taken one since.
    Was not allowed it in Old Trafford though.

    almost always took me a flask of bovril in the colder months of RP, many a time i took my own scabby's as well as the ones inside RP were heated to almost extinction.

    Well, the kid's books are out in time for Remembrance Day and Christmas..Tommy for bairns 6 -11, Zhara for small cherubs ...Tells of Tommy, the real Seaham Harbour statue who helps a lonely refugee girl to get her Daddy back on Christmas Eve with help of the Three Miners and The Coxwain statues in Seaham and of course Santa....Great Remeberance day Poppy story and for Christmas...get it for your bairns and grandkids and feel young again ...cheers
