To me the first half I have just witnessed sums up Bristol City in a nutshell whereby at times we can look quite good and yet our ongoing nemesis returns all too quickly. I truly cannot understand how a manager with NP's experience is totally incapable of fixing our many years old defensive nightmares and continues to play the same players expecting a different outcome. Last season I thought Vyner and DaSilva were incapable of meeting the level required to play at this level and although there has been some improvement, but here we are with both of them seeming to be first on the team sheet. For me we are really showing how bad we are and the boos at half time were fully valid and even though there are still 45 minutes left I have no confidence in either the manager, or players, stepping forward to change the score. Men against the same old boys.

I like NP, but it’s crystal clear after 18 months and 8-10 defenders signed/resigned, the guy cannot set up a team to defend. We will not progress until he sorts that out!

It beggars belief that this problem seems to be something that NP can't sort out.

Bad decision making all over the place and the players aren't enjoying this as their collective heads are all down on the turf.

The lifeline we needed just arrived with a touch of good fortune, so is this the boost we wanted? Nakhi Wells the hero.

The saviour Massengo has just come on and the first thing he does is make a foul.

Wow here we go... City making a triple sub.

Massengo, King and Wilson are coming on. Sykes, Williams and Weimann are coming off.

We make it hard for ourselves being so poor defensively.

    Good on you mate
Here to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary
A win would have been nice but we’re predictably unpredictable as always
Should know better than to have us down for a 2-1 win
At least I got the score right, just the wrong way round !
Now, where’s that Gin gone !

When you are having a stinker the last thing you should do is start berating your team mates to make up for your errors. There were too many out there today who had a bad day and the cracks in team unity were more obvious as the game wore on and despite a consolation goal we were second best throughout. Nigel has been here more than long enough to have sorted out the one thing that stops us from improving, and we all know what that is but apparently he does not. Looking back over his time in charge can anyone say with all honesty that they are now looking at a team that can challenge for promotion or even mount a spirited attempt? The initial promise of the new signings is fast rubbing off and the team is starting to look like rabbits in the headlights every time the opposition challenge our penalty area, and with frightening regularity we collapse like a house of cards. Our vaunted attack has disappeared somewhere in the fog that surrounds our players and, to be blunt, I can't see Nigel having the insight to fix it based on the continuance of the same old issue each and every game.

Change doesn't happen by osmosis; it changes by positive action and direction by those in charge.

Unfortunately Mike I don’t think we’re any better than a mid to lower league Championship team
