Saints have had two weeks to perfect their strategy. So being dreadful again it is. Sounds like Everton are strolling to a win. Ambitious team choice but not working yet.
It's all terribly average, but I also don't necessarily want him to change anything. I think this largely new team needs minutes to get used to playing with one another.
Maybe it's the terrible quality of the stream I have, but this first half has been quite frustrating. Many personnel changes, but we looked to be clearly second best in a terrible match.
Zero creativity from our center midfielders. Plus we miss Romeu; we are getting beaten to every loose ball and completely outmuscled.
Positives. Stuart and KWP are working well together. Larios is doing well despite getting no protection. Negatives. Aribo is lazy as **** with tracking back. Mara not in it and goes to ground too easily. (I get the impression he would be a decent 10 with his control and vision). ABK not at his best, getting too tight and turned. JWP is stuck in sideways and backwards passing mode. Che getting no support despite Mara seemingly not playing in midfield.
I agree, there is threat in this team. Maybe Arma for Aribo at some point depending on how it pans out. Think he's been playing well this season on the left.
Biggest positive: This is Ralph's chance to step up and figure out how to win the match. Blaming the players if we continue to struggle isnt enough for me.
As my nipper says, call it a draw and not come out for the second half. I just hope that we don’t have to wait for Maupay to score in the 98th minute to totally break our hearts - again.
There is an element of people maybe understanding why he hasn't been playing Aribo and AMN so far though. I mean, I dunno what the answers are here, I really don't.
Poor Jo Tessum is loosing his mind watching this chaos Ralph got to make some changes at half time, agree Arma for Aribo as a minimum
