Match Day Thread When The Going Gets Tough Chairboys v Pilgrims 1st Oct 22

The Chairboys are back at Adams Park after three games on the road with the visit of the table topping Pilgrims who have twice as many points as ourselves after ten games, and after recent poor showing we really need to pull a rabbit out of the hat and get our season going again.
Gaz will be without a Mr Wycombe who has changed his name to Mr Scum Oh Matty what have you done, but GMac will be available again after suspension and hopefully Scowen will also be back Obita should also return to the starting line-up.
I will be at AP for this one after over a month without a game I hope I haven't lost it I am also hoping we put in the same performance as the last time I was flying solo, on the first game of the season and also the same result

 

I read that Scowen will not be ready for tomorrow

All I can say is I'm relieved.

 

Giving away goals early in matches is a bad habit an own goal in the first minute last week a penalty in the 8th minute today

 

The game today was an even event but we lacked creativity in midfield we are missing so many players who could make a difference our bench was threadbare can't blame Ainsworth for the lack of options

 

Without Gape, Scowen and Taf I reckon we did well. More shots and more on target. Who knows, with those 3 in the line-up, we might have even won. But we do seem to lack a formidable striker and we don't have enough cover. It is not possible to field our strongest 11 every match
