3-1 FT. Stupid lineup, pathetic performance, bent **** ref. Massive response needed on Tuesday against Frankfurt. Can someone clout that bald prick, please?
No effect on the "season compass" (thankfully) , but not to front up in an away NLD two seasons running is unacceptable. Conte needs to take a cold shower ASAP, and refocus, because as ir currently is Spurs could be out of the CL this month.
Whether or not you agree with the red card, that challenge was utterly moronic today, Martinelli was going nowhere. I'd give Spence and Doherty a go for a while.
Spence probably still won’t get a look-in. We’ll see Sess LWB and Perisic RWB. Lucas will also likely play RWB before the lad too. Have to say been really unimpressed by Conte this season. Selections and tactics have been really poor for the most part and performances in about 70% of our game time have matched it. He’s lucky that the 30% has somehow overpowered the 70… until today (and Sporting) of course.
I've put myself on a diet the last month or so, so not even drink alcohol at the moment as that's generally my main source of being a fatty. It's gonna be a tough weekend after this, that's for sure.
Yeah I agree with all of this. Conte is baffling me this season. Weird selections and not showing any flexibility at all. I can live with poor performances if the results are there but when the team lose and the game is poor to watch then it doesn’t leave any positives
It's really frustrating. Just about the whole board said pre-game it was obvious Arsenal would dominate possession and therefore 352 would've made more sense and had we had that extra midfielder, chances are they'd have picked up the rapist on the edge of the box to prevent his shot and the game in general wouldn't have been so easy for Arsenal. Then for a manager that loves WBs, I can't for the life of me understand the persistence with Emerson on that right flank. Spence is tailored to his style but this stubbornness of playing youth is massively working against him at the moment. I can only hope that Emerson's burned his bridges and we don't see him for a while, though I fear he'll start mid-week now. It's also a damn shame we couldn't have brought in Udogie for this season too, because Sessegnon is more or less the equivalent to Emerson on the left flank. Gotta sort it out soon, because we've had Nuno-esque football for most of this season, Conte's just been fortunate not to have Nuno-esque results for the most part but our luck won't keep coming out on top, as we saw today.
1. Our away record against Chelsea, West Ham and Arsenal since 2019-20 (12 games) is 4 points v West Ham, 1 v Arsenal and 1 v Chelsea and we have not put in a single good 90 minute performance in any of them so today (unfortunately) doesn't surprise me. 2. We need to bounce back quickly so it's good we are playing on Tuesday. The result can not lead to a slump if we hope to progress. 3. Why Kane is allowed to continuously take free kicks when he is so unproductive with them is a complete mystery. 4. As fans we need to remember what a shocking mess we were in last November. That we're seriously fighting for another top four finish shows how far we've come in a relatively short time. For comparisons sake ... Arteta has been at Arsenal since late 2019. 5. If I'd been offered this points total at this stage pre season I'd have taken it. This disappointment is exaggerated cos its v them lot... did I mention that I hate the NLD
