Covid infections in the UK are rising and have topped more than one million, according to official estimates.
There has been a 14% rise in people testing positive in the week to 20 September - the biggest increase since the summer.
But there is no clear evidence of an autumn Covid wave starting, says the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

GET MY 4TH? OR IS IT 5TH COVID next week and the flu jab left arm right arm

so 2 main conferences now over.. and not an opinion merely observation.... Unfortunately to score political points you have to grab the moment. Whilst not in the same temperament in the past I have had to organize a few expeditions, and people are/ have a tendency to be impatient .. not all just some [ usually loudest mouth!] and you say something to appease them which takes immediate affect on them and they go quiet [ for a while ] my point is until you have time to work out an agenda/ timeline/ substance/ etc it is often impossible to do it off the cuff or in short measure, luckily my tasks had a few months to put together!
LT & Kwasi were suddenly in a situation of everyone wanted something they had ideas brought them in / negative response on some .. fodder for sh*** stirrers and for those whose lives depend on making a quick buck!!
so Shares went down [ bear in mind interest rates had been put up ] interest rates generally went up, £ SLIPPED now back up and shares recovering slowly .. LT & Kwasi tested the temperature of the water and can now have a period to word it right and plan it right the patient will be calm the impatient will be diving in and out of the boiling pot... OH and Nicola's mob having their conference as I type 70% leaving UK 20% knocking .gov in Westminster ! 7% on not so important and 3% of time on important things.

Putrid rather a quiet birthday I thought although sent a dozen missiles into ZAPHORIZIA targeting civilians and housing! Russia states that "UKRAINE IS A TERRORIST STATE TARGETTING CIVILIANS AND CIVILIAN STRUCTURE" Putrid got an ironic birthday present from his best mate [ untilhe invades it ] in Belarussia! a tractor with extra wheels so they can tow their dead tanks and vehicles out of the way??? A path highlighted by Ukrainian farmers back in March!
Nobel peace prize 3 way split for trying to bring peace and harmony to the world along with highlighting the errors and terrors of the past .. each one get s in excess of £2.5m to further their efforts or contribute past expenses
Kerch bridge sad people died in the proximity of the explosion but timed to be the quietest time on the bridge and likely coincide with the train!? Might not be the first action from Russian "homebased activists"!!!!
there is reputed to 700,000 ex military/ young potential conscripts [ past conscripts having done a year are classed as " experienced!!!] Just in via email 2 of my past contacts 1980'/90's state they managed to get home to Georgia and Sweden [ works for Nokia ] [ leaving Russia doesnt mean losing your house most live in rented properties ] just your furniture unless sold [ without attracting attention ] .

Saddleworth moor area of peat bogs sad didnt find any human bones [ what was found was probably ancient tree root or? ] Many efforts area's have been explored a disturbance of 5' x 2' or less is worse than a needle in a haystack RIP wherever you are until the day cometh.

I was looking forward to going on Expedition to Iran in 1979 when THE SHAH WAS TOPPLED [ instead went to EUROPE ] . Now it is all kicking off although the police military etc are out numbered by around 30 to 1 it is to date been a one sided battle Bit like protests in Russia .. but little by little the protesters may get more bold already today reports of deaths in the security forces! and to be fair most protesters are female up until now ... but students are standing together and that could mean trouble .........

insta heat ...when Wiz or others provide links to BCFC related info often there is a load of other stuff at the bottom relating to info adverts / products my Q is anyone had experience of the Ceramic heater ... insta heat? on sale at 50%!!! off its usual £89 ... so called heats a 500 sq foot room in minutes!
    500 sq foot = something like 22' x 23' = something like 4000 cubic feet!!!! whereas a 9' x 7' room = about 500 cubic feet
A separate article I read regarding a consumer hint compared a "heater of similar type to gas central heating" ==== why use gas central heating to warm whole house when a little "instant heat" type does the job more efficiently"
Of course main thermo stat would need to be not in main room [ mine is but is wireless so movable] so could run heating from main bedroom set at say 16 degrees so main room with instaheater would need just to cover for 4-5 degree's

This is our house in Canada and it is 2200 sq ft in size and the utilities costs are: Hydro, which is for electricity averages less than $100.00 Can per month. Fortis, which is our gas for heating averages about $ 120.00 per month. How does that compare on a per sq ft cost in the U.K. During the winter months our heating is on 24 hours/day, but out here on the West coast our temperatures are the most modest in Canada and therefore our costs are way less than out on the prairies. Just thought it may be of interest to all back there.

I am from an agricultural background and as a 4 and 5 year old spent the next 12 -15 years involved with farming. Even back then [ almost pre supermarkets ] farmers had an effort to get just rewards for their produce. 2 major items that Supermarkets seem to use as " come to me and buy me here" are Eggs and milk.
I go to Tesco and to be honest think milk and Eggs are really cheap I would willingly pay more than what they are on offer for! They do a "economy version!!!" 15 eggs / medium & small mixed at £1.53p [ OLD reciept September ] .. for 10 large "free range" its £2.35 by weight you get more for your money [ just = 1.5 eggs ] buying the 10 ! ..................would I pay £2 for the 15? .....yes ... would I pay £3 for the 10 yes if the added cost went to the farmers ...

    M I L K
Milk is a real fluctuator for convienience my wife gets it at the local CO OP [ most expensive supermarket out there ] .. recently a pint was just over half the cost of a 2 pint but a 4 pint was 5p cheaper than a 2 pint .... mark up error? short date? [ but not out of date still had 5 days ] dairy needing to get rid of?..... well the 4 pint worked out at cheaper than the pint! 4pint was £1.89 v 1 pint was 92p I would happily pay £1 a pint for milk providing cost went to farmer ..........

Eggs and milk both have over production channels .. eggs go to dried, ready for cooking in bakeries etc or protein foods ... ! Milk goes the similar way as dried or as yogurts and the suchlike ... Milk now a days is a poorer quality than in the past .... you can still get botled milk and if from a private dairy will have just a little bit of cream on top! not when bought from major dairy supplying supermarket Pasturised full milk is far from it! And modern skimmed milk is what we used to feed to the pigs ... commonly called whey!

Chinese covid, interesting comments on TV about China and the covid outbreak, ....

........... they have their own vaccines which apparently are not all thay good. Some people have had 3 and still not really responding. The consensus is should they abandon the lock down then a variant of the omicron would become rife and put at risk a million people, who might die! They were responsible for it in the beginning and it is coming back to bite them!

The last of our warm weather seems to be passing and temps due to drop into single figures ,,, my cherry tree is still with about 60% of its leaves and the sycamores are shrivelling as opposed to changnging to Autumn colours In the near 40 years I have lived here December has [ according to my diary ] been a toss up which tree holds the last leaf, usually a couple on Cherry tree and maybe half a dozen on Sycamores by 01/12 . Have usually got 5 or 6 bags of leaves rotting down in bin liners this year just the 1 ...........

"WOW LESS THAN 50% OF THE POPULATION ARE NOW CHRISTIANS" .... what a headline! due not to ethnic creeds insomuch as to lack of people stating they have a religion!
AND THEN the Pope jumps in with a comment that surely has ruffled a few Russian feathers! .

Pope Francis was asked about his apparent reluctance to directly condemn Russia for the war.
In response he said he received "much information about the cruelty of the troops".
"Generally, the cruellest are perhaps those who are of Russia but are not of the Russian tradition, such as the Chechens, the Buryats and so on," he said.
The Pope added that "the one who invades is the Russian state".
he said: "Sometimes I try not to specify so as not to offend and rather condemn in general, although it is well known whom I am condemning. It is not necessary that I put a name and surname."
Later in the interview the Pope added: "Everyone knows my stance, with Putin or without Putin, without naming him."

Pope Francis also said he wanted to mark the anniversary of the Holodomor, calling it a genocide and a "historical antecedent" of the current conflict.
As many as four million Ukrainians died in this famine in 1932-33, caused by the collectivisation of farms under Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin.

From the start OF THE WAR with comments made by Putrid we all knew his aim was to be a Stalin mk ll...... is his hope that the cold will kill as many as Stalin did...

SCAMSTERS ...... World Cup and other scams

Fraudsters are exploiting interest in the football World Cup to trick people into replying to scam lottery letters.
National Trading Standards said a surge in letters had coincided with previous major tournaments.
Officers said they wanted the public's help to gather information about scams.
They want people to send any scam mail they receive to trading standards over the next month, calling the campaign a Scamnesty.

As I said a while ago, I think the Church of England have been pretty pathetic over the last few decades, and now have a woke Archbishop of Canterbury in charge, and were one of the first institutions to close their doors to parishioners when Covid came along,
The Tories have also played their part in the overall demise in people identifying as Christian, by having open borders and not being conservative or having conservative values themselves.
And while we're at it, if you are white, British, and live in London/Greater London you will now only be part of a 37% minority group. Unsurprisingly it's a similar story in Birmingham and Manchester.
So now maybe the tide will start to turn, and we'll see more white people saying they are being oppressed.
It's a shocking, but hardly surprising set of stats.

The government is spending £6.8million a DAY housing immigrants.

A Bishop who came on the box said the majority of the 40k influx across the Channel were 'fleeing for their lives'.
Why do we put up with so much utter rubbish ?
A young family have been evicted from a Torquay hotel due to both parents losing their jobs in the last 2 months.
Why have they been evicted ?
To house migrants, many identifying 'lately' as minors.
Torbay Council have asked residents for patience and understanding. Apparently migrants are worried and confused. I'll bet they are. They don't understand how they can have ensuite rooms 3 meals a day and cash given to them. They've told the 1,000s stuck in a tent on a French beach to get here ASAP.

Why do we put up with it ?

I'm beyond sick of it all
Bring in a new right wing Government next time around and let's cut all the crap, and stop beating ourselves up as all of this can be sorted where there is a genuine will.

Sweden have a new right leaning Government and have already started deporting undesirables, and have also eliminated their Climate Change/Environmental Dept and have also cut, with a view to eliminating totally, all foreign spending. They were prevented from doing this under the last Government.

Well done the Swedes says I. A little bit of logic in a world I am feeling more at odds with by the day.

Don't even get me started on the lady in waiting, and the woman she asked where she was from.

At the moment the chance of a right leaning government at the next election is looking less and less likely, from my perspective that’s a bonus , it’s a right leaning government that’s got us in this mess. Only my opinion I realise.

The Tories, back to David Cameron's era were centralists at best and were certainly not to the right, and that policy and political tendencies have continued through May, Johnson, Truss and now Sunak.
Under Maggie Thatcher you could say that the party was more to the right, but that was nearly 40 years ago.
Which is why I put in an earlier post that the Tory and Labour party these days are virtually joined at the hip, and their policies could actually be each others.
