Very poor tonight again, first half every time they had a free kick or corner going into our box we looked vulnerable, the other way round from our corners we created nothing. The balance of the squad is far from right and having to play with no recognised striker once Oscar went off is rediculous. We huffed and puffed through out but simply didn’t create enough. Thought we really looked like a relegation team tonight. A new manager as a lot of work to do and unfortunately as got to bring more players in to get a better balance in this squad .
Egg on my face but the old lads looked miles more up to the level today. Hard work beats talent and all that
We are absolutely clueless, all over the pitch. This does not look like a team that has seen the most significant investment since the premier league years. I can’t wait for Wednesday night’s entertainment
Oh, I'm sure it was, but whoever it is won't change the fact that the player himself decided which offer he was going to accept, not me, or the Hull City head coach. So I don't really see the point of getting all uppity with me.
The highest one I would imagine, why do any of us go to work....... for the money Tan said we didn't offer him enough anyway off the subject who would you want for manager I'm undecided I would have thought they would have someone lined up?
If you believe the chatter (I do most of it) we were after Billic but he went to West Brom so shota got a stay of execution after Swansea when he himself was expecting the chop. HT2 said he'd be gone as soon as there was a replacement lined up whether before or after today's game and now it's agreed in principal and down to legal he's been given his cards. It's supposedly someone who's likely to reassure fans. Apparently. Let's see. The name curiously absent from mainstream speculation is David Wagner. Sometimes you can read into that, sometimes not. Sometimes it ****s up at the last minute like Billic because other clubs make similar offers. It's a business. Same as Honeyman.
I didn’t even know Bruce got sacked by West Brom. Add them to the list of clubs he’s failed at and collected a hefty severance from, the fat, useless ****.
I doubt he'll be desparate to come back to Hull. Probably can't legally until the severance goes through the lawyers anyway and that can take months.
Maybe the fact that he isn't battering the door down or demanding a move is the reason he's sat on the bench still? Theres gotta be a reason. Surely either Shota or McCant would have favoured him otherwise?
Nothing can change the fact that Honeyman is gone and that's that.Personal opinion,he wasn't part of Acuns plan, the plan was on the pitch tonight and as such it was a mistake not to negotiate a figure that kept his services. That's history ,it will remain so and we now switch focus to the future. We have players on the books who can turn things round at this level,Arveladze wasn't the man to get these players to gel into a unit but if we can recruit someone who knows what's what at this level and knows how to apply some decent man management skills I can see us turning things around. We're a wounded Tiger at the moment, our lucks out, some of our players look dejected and the manager has been given the heave-ho at the oddest of times. It left Andy Dawson with the unenviable task of trying to get something from a difficult match against a difficult opponent. To me there were some glimmers of hope in parts of that defeat tonight, the right appointment could see things taking a turn in the right direction but Acun needs to be extremely careful if he even considers looking to the Turkish market for our saviour!!
Honestly, I thought it was a shoe in for a Turkish coach but now it's sounding like someone with a bit of pedigree in English football - but as always, **** can change. Re: Honeyman - if we had offered the same as Milwall for George to stay - i.e he got a straight choice for the same money - firstly from his perspective would you head to London or stay in Hull, and would all the handwringers here rather we paid over market value on a 3 year deal to keep him? I'm interested... Forward your replies to Tan Kessler.
Plenty of hustle and bustle, but zero end product. I could swear their keeper took every corner without a city player in the same postcode. Half to three quarters of the side are just not good enough or cut out for the physicality of the championship. Dawson or whoever comes in as a hell of a job on, but there's time to turn it around. At least Sinik looked handy.
Holy **** we’re in trouble We’ve built a ‘team’ of players consisting of people the chairman's friends with Ignore modern day recruitment, stats, and analytics. He played for Fenerbahce or in the Turkish league so he’s the perfect fit. It’s hard to overstate how far behind we are in terms of overall set up such as back room staff, coaches, facilities, organisation, culture. We are absolutely ****ed.
The first goal was a first time strike on the turn, needed a great block to stop it. Unlucky with the deflection in. But the second did come about by not clearing it properly. And that's been the no1 problem from the friendlies on, giving the ball away cheaply in our own half, and even around our own penalty area. Nothing was done about this even though it was clear even in the friendlies. Whoever the new manager is needs to fix that problem or it's not going to improve much. I remember when we were beating Coventry and dominating. Then in a few minutes we gave the ball away twice near our goal and they were back in the game, and nearly got a draw by the end.
