    3 year bans. I don't condone what they did, but they are young enough that they will learn from this, and will never be the same for the rest of their lives. They'll be sorry and their life will be hard from here, that's enough punishment I think. Their families will be devastated, they'll learn.

    aye. the fact that they will be very publically shamed and their family and friends will consider them racist idiots will be canny hard. plus if there names are released then getting a job might be quite difficult too.

    This is scary how fast the authorities have acted, in a good way of course.

    I say give them temp bans, they've probably learned from their mistakes by now and this'll follow them about for the rest of their lives. I know I've done some stupid things in a moment of madness I've literally felt sick about afterwards.

    Think there is a difference between something slipping out of your mouth and you instantly regretting it to retweeting a message, typing out a racist response and sending it, as well as responding to people after as well about it.

    I don't think this guy had a moment of madness, he's a just an idiot who doesn't know better.

    A good long ban from SJP, though not permanent.

    Let them slide without a criminal record if they do a ****load of community service.

    The comments were bad, but they are young enough that they shouldn't have their lives ruined first time around. I hate to think what the stupidest things I said at their age might have been.
