We've got players coming back from injury now. We've had a long break to interrupt our losing inertia. Brighton lost their Wizard manager. We've had our scare and know we need to work hard. I don't think it's all roses and puppies going forward, but optimistic for the weekend.
I just can't get into the swing of this season - dodgy start, the Queen uncooperatively snuffing it, ****ing International Breaks, and the knowledge that it's all grinding to a halt again in a few weeks... It's all such a mess.
At least it’s not a Saturday 12:30. Salah scored couple away on international. Had a rest for second game. TAA has a point to prove. I reckon could be a big win here but Brighton seem to be somewhat of a bogey team recently. Interesting see how they cope. Will they still keep the new manager bounce as normally you lose your manager when doing **** but they’ve been on good run so could continue or could see that form drop while new manager puts tactics in place.
JONES KNOWS BEST HAS GONE FOR 1:1 DRAW. Liverpool vs Brighton, Saturday 3pm - PLAY SUPER 6 HERE! Trying to rate a new manager appointment at a club is a tricky task when it comes to making sensible and hopefully logical predictions in the short term. However, I'd certainly be confident of Brighton getting it right with Roberto De Zerbi. The people making the big calls at that club are amongst the shrewdest in the Premier League. If not the shrewdest. De Zerbi did a sensational job with minnows Sassuolo while backed with considerably less resource than the Italian league's traditional powerhouse clubs, all while selling star players during his tenure. Sound familiar? Brighton should be backed to keep their levels high at Anfield with an eye on Leandro Trossard causing problems for Liverpool down their right side in behind Trent Alexander-Arnold. Trossard has scored in two of his five starts against Liverpool, registering 10 shots in those fixtures. His intelligent and tricky style of play should see him maraud into similarly dangerous positions yet again. The Evens with Sky Bet for him to have two shots and the 9/2 anytime scorer price both are worth a second look. SCORE PREDICTION: 1-1
Win is a must of course, but want to see real effort and desire. We have a long tough month ahead, so Klopp better have sorted them out.
Hopefully thiago looks like he can actually run after 2 weeks good training. Think matip will also be crucial
Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Henderson, Thiago, Carvalho, Salah, Firmino. Subs: Adrian, Gomez, Milner, Elliott, Jota, Diaz, Nunez, Arthur, Phillips
It's alright. I presume they know Diaz has played Thursday morning and is red line for 90mins. Jota played 60mins or more Wednesday so again we are the ones protecting the player. Yes the first 40mins internationals is good but the second v Spain to get to nations league (and fialed) means long term we benefit but short term again we have to make do today. We need the wins.
Have no logical reason for this but i am pretty optimistic about this game and reckon 3-1 but maybe more .
