Won the Derby on GS and has won on soft. Last year, tried to win like he won the Derby........................ on heavy ground , the downfall of beloved Enable. As long as it doesn't get too soft, I think he will run. Fingers crossed

Frankel has now sewn up the Leading European Sire honours - he was £600,000 behind Dubawi before today but with Alpinista and Nashwa has added £2.5 million to his earnings for the year. However he’s unlikely to retain his GB and IRE Leading Sire title as he trails Dubawi by £900,000. Sea The Stars is just £40k behind him in 3rd so it will pretty much all come down to Adayar v Baaeed for second place (Winner of the Champion Stakes takes home £737,000)!
Kirsten Rausing has confirmed Alpinista will go to stud next year, but that they are considering the Japan Cup or Breeders’ Cup for a possible final hurrah.
