Yeah but he’s a poor rapper, out of about 1,000 tracks he’s released I could bare listening to about 6.

Snoop is not in that top category IMO. I could probs name 50 better rappers.

I get what you are saying, but its not all about the rapping.
The lyrics, the flow, the production, the tunes, all comes together.
Snoop isnt the best, but he always has enough people on his records to make them listenable.
One of my favourite rap songs is Bitch Please, by Snoop and Xzibit ft Nate Dogg
They did a Bitch please 2 and added Dre and Eminem too and it was also excellent.

Bitch please… you must have a mental disease. Assume the position and get back down on your knees.

Xzibit was a real G before he started pimpin rides.

You forget just how many tunes Nate Dogg was on.

Ooh Wee - proper banger. Ghost verse on that was next level.

Nate is a West Coast legend.

You know they got his name wrong on the record (mark ronson) he himself later revealed he didn't say anything about it cos he was a nobody to these guys.

Hence mark bronson on the track<laugh>

Few years ago i think on dres 50th, kiss 100 played the whole day of dre tracks, ones he featured on, produced for others and done himself.

And i mean the whole day.

Check out kanyes discography, he produced some of my favourite hip hop bangers way before anyone heard his name.

    1 For example

Dre has left some legacy like, incredible producer.

DJ Premier as well, between him and Dre they covered practically every big artist in East and West Coast.
