He didn't play, no. Halil Dervisoglu did and he looked very frustrated. Being locked inside Viljormur Davidsen's pocket will do that to you though. Jóannes Bjartalíð had an absolute stormer on the left, can't believe he hasn't played outside the Faroes.
Faroe Adası 2 - 1 Türkiye | UEFA Uluslar C Ligi Son Maçı - YouTube Game is here with Turkish commentary, set up 4-5-1 to stifle them, worked a treat.
Pickford for me all day but he's prone to the odd howler himself, possibly due to the shaky defence in front of him/them? Judging by tonight's performance we've got a hell of a lot of improving to do if we hope to get anywhere in the World Cup.We've got some outstanding talent in that squad but it's so frustrating to watch it fail to live up to it's potential.
I know, it's pronounced the same way we would say "Johan". Couldn't cut it at Newcastle, but making a decent career for himself in Germany and now Belgium.
I think we’ll do alright in Qatar but have grave doubts we’ll not get near the final again. Lots of similarities to City in the England set up albeit at a lower level. Basically countless talented players thrown together but unfortunately without an end product or game plan that regularly works. Southgate has put the National side on the right course but he never seems really sure exactly who to play and where. In short I can see the FA wanting more then he can give and would expect another England manager in place by Christmas. UTT.
Jude Bellingham was a class above any other English player on the pitch last night. Astonishing to realise that he's only just turned 19 and has played well over a hundred top level games. Shows the sense of young talent going abroad (and if he's got any sense staying abroad) rather than embroiling oneself in the nonsense of the Premier League. I don't think we'll win the World Cup but if we do, or come close, it'll be on the back of this lad. Best English talent I've seen in 25 years.
I have had no meltdowns. Just told truths that some are uncomfortable with. Which club do you have a toe into this week?
On the whole a better performance particularly the 2nd half, we certainly look like a better team playing attacking style football rather than the pragmatic approach. This WC is wide open, a lot will depend on which team has the luck with no injuries to key players.
Italy I think will win it. Strength in depth and a lot of promising young players to back up the old guard.
Far too young for 1st team football he should in the reserves or loaned out to league 2 for some work experience.
