This is an actual Tory MP for ****s sake.I keep saying this, but you cannot parody these bastards, they are madder than a sketch the best satirists could come up with.

I think the best satirists come up with some brilliant stuff that can actually fool some people into thinking they're real.

It sounds like sour grapes from a "source close to" Rishi Sunak to me. I'm not saying they're wrong on the economic points but the idea that people are putting in no confidence letters is surely nonsense. They wouldn't be that stupid.

The simple answer to that question is that they should make a dash to claim, 'The Middle Ground'.
The Tory Party in electing this somewhat eccentric Lady had previously held this ground, but only by default, Corbyn being the opposition at the time.
So, now it is vacant and waiting for a new tenant.

A word of caution to the Labour Party though.
John McDonnel is raising his head above the parapet again.
He is just the sort that will put centre of the road voters off.

Turn Sky News off first and foremost. The most left-wing media going.

Then research the markets. The £ is doing ok, actually.

The only hope this country has is if Liz Truss does what all other unelected PMs have done, and call a snap election.

Sadly, even she isn't ****ing stupid enough to do that

More realistic to say Sky News loves a bit of 'sky is falling' hysteria as much as the rest of them do.

How many times have economists been wrong over the decades. It's possible to be an expert without being able to predict what will happen. Look at Russell Grant

Its not Sky hysteria, its the currency and bond markets!

Rulers in the past, like King Canute have tried to show they know best and their power/wisdom is right.

I think we'll know more in a couple of weeks. Our entire culture seems to be based on panic first, ask questions later these days. Got to let it settle. Let the hysteria junkies blow themselves out until the next thing to panic about.

I am convinced that Liz tinfoil Truss is actually doing a good job as a deep embedded revolutionary Marxist whose task was to implode the Tory Party from within. That can be the only explanation for her decision making.

    1.07 is higher than 1.03.

If it had kept dropping there would be issues. Let's see how we get on today. I still think it'll take a couple of weeks to settle.
