okay apart from tommy docherty, terry neill, brian horton, and any others, tell me one single manager who has left city and gone onto greater success.
Even if Nigel does want to go, I highly doubt we'll allow Leicester to speak to him. Maybe it'll even be a good thing if they approach us and we reject, it'll make Nigel feel wanted.
Pearson fell out with Mandaric, who has now left, fair enough. But the leicester fans seem to have forgotten that they claimed that Mandaric was letting him go to make the incoming owners happy. Mandaric may have gone, but the owners who had no faith in him 18 months ago are still there and are looking for their 3rd manager already!
I really can't see it - do you think Nigel Pearson would risk losing his reputation - lets say he did go back to Leicester and it didn't work out - who would employ him after that- a Manager that has no loyalties?? - he's would be taking a big risk imo
Pearson won't leave, the players and the owners love him here, and I bet he's on a booster to get us promoted too.
These type of threads make me sad. I remember us being subjected to the same when Brownie left. Some of us posted our hopes and aspirations for a replacement, other clubs laughed at us, then we got Dowie. Bad times. Football is a business. Same as any other. I love my job, I love the people I work with, I do the job because I enjoy it. First comes my family though, and if any rival companies offered me more for doing the same or similar, I'd be off like a rat up an aqueduct. Anyone who thinks footballers or managers should be different are frankly deluded. Whatever happens at Leicester, and whoever they get, I wish them well, apart from against us ofc, and if its NPs decision to go back, I'll salute him as being brave, returning to a club you left in the manner he did would take a lot of balls. I'd also remain grateful for the amazing work he's done for us, and will always be happy to acknowledge what he's done. That said, I hope he stays with us, gets us promoted and Leicester end up with Dowie. But ultimately, as long as TWS dont get in the playoffs and we are above them, it's all good.
More than that, I think NP has a target, a mission: to build a squad on next-to-nothing and to get that that squad promoted to the Prem. What's that worth on his CV?
Roy Keane now at 3/1. That's the problem with being owned by Thai duty free operators, or Indian chicken pluckers, they haven't got a clue what they're doing.
If Keane does end up with the job, I'll laugh my t1ts off!! Can you imagine them giving him another £10m to spunk in January and they all go on strike against him somewhat Totalitarian management style??? LOL! Mind you, you can imagine them being a little shocked after interviewing that Geordie Chav this week!!
