for once i got nothing from it though possibly because i was too busy laughing at the image it conjured up .
Annamiek van Vleuten wins the womens road race at the World championships in Australia...........with a fractured elbow She won the Giro and TdF this year, first woman to do it........................39 years old.
Evenepoel takes the mens title, beast of a cyclist Incredible years for him and van Vleuten, one an emerging talent and one in her twilight years.
next years TdF willbe fun if Evenepoel , Pogacer and Vinnegaard all go for it particularly if Bernal regains fitness and form though i doubt the latter considering the extent of his injuries .
Anyone else watched the Wheelchair Rugby League .Found it surprisingly watchable unlike Para Rugby (murderball) which i don't rate as a spectator sport yet seems quite popular with AB viewers at the Paralympics .
and England win the Wheelchair Rugby World Cup in a cracking game with a nice level of "spice" in the play
Shouldn't have been in that position but good comeback by England v N Zealand. Indiscipline cost us once again.
Don’t really watch a lot of F1 but it’s a good job they brought in all these changes to stop one man coasting to wins and make it more competitive worked a treat lmao
New season/rules are either going to be a mixed bag or someone will dominate. Red Bull built better than everyone else and therefore dominated. Perez is no competition to Max. It'll be much better next year
The f1 was a better show over all with more midfield battling and not just drs but being able to easily follow did make drs utterly indefensible just about everywhere. The ferrari team totally ****ed it up imo. It should've been at least closer.
Last season had.more death match to it cos it had drama and penalties and shenanigans However that's one aspect at the front. This f1 season has had.way more good close racing in the midfield and some tracks absolutely shine through like Silverstone, spa, monza, Brazil, Austin. But some tracks suck arse juice like that miami debacle, Monaco etc.
Last season was very competitive and went down to the wire so yeah, obviously more exciting. This season was done halfway through
Once upon a time I was a huge F1 fan and football was a distant second. I actually used to run a F1 forum (wrote the forum software myself n'all) It's probably been a decade since I watched more than one or two races in a season now though. I don't know why, just can't get interested in it any more. I'll check the results now and then, but that's about all. Doesn't help that it's hard for me to get access to watch the races since cutting the chord to cable tv.
A horrible disease. One of our managers had it, he lasted 18 months from diagnosis to passing away leaving a wife and two teenage boys.
Wife's friend had it ,to see what it does to somebody is terrible.Started as a sore shoulder and ended 2 years later ,very sad.
Our manager came back from entertaining clients in a pub and approaching the stairs to the office said to his colleagues "my leg won't work" as he could not lift his foot onto the stairs. Everyone laughed and accused him of having to much to drink. He got up the stairs but then experienced similar incidents over the next few weeks where his body would not seem to obey him. Saw the doc and had the devastating diagnosis.
