I was at the game and I am convinced that if we keep playing as we did yesterday next season we will be back in league 2, I firmly believe he was so sure of getting Anderson and Taylor back that they didn't look at defensive players in particular in detail. We are signing far to many players with a past of injuries and it is catching up with us, felt very sorry for Loft he was getting a fair bit of stick from people but he was winning flick on's with nobody supporting him. Anderson was all alone on the right wing and they would play the ball short to somebody who was being closely marked instead of putting the ball wide and he on a few occasions told them that he wasn't happy about it
Yes it's getting very hard to stay optimistic or positive at present. Maybe we should get used to lowering our sights and just settle for being a decent league 2 side rather than struggling in league 1 each time we somehow manage to get there. I can't really fathom out what's going wrong every week - in fairness, most of our squad aren't bad players, but as a team, they seem outplayed, out thought and bullied into defeat.
I thought they said Alex Rodman was now fit again if he is why is he not on the bench, he has done the WB role before and it would give us an experienced option and leave Anderson to play a more attacking role, I am also wondering if Kilgour is fully fit as he looked a little of the pace yesterday and didn't have his best game for Rovers, ( my opinion of course others might disagree) JB blamed the ball boy for the goal saying apparently the defence were not ready to defend when they took a quick corner from which they scored, would have thought the players should have been told to concentrate a bit more
I wish they'd employ tradesmen for these building and maintenance jobs, and not use the junior players - never ends well!!

Get in there! 3pts away from home and up to 15th. A great night’s work by the lads - I’d be worried if I were a Franchise fan, they sounded terrible with just one shot on target all match. UTG!
They were one of the favourites for promotion pre season but their team is only good on paper at the moment and poor on the pitch.
It wasn't a great game, but to be honest the lads looked solid. McCormick looked a bit lost. Don't know whether it's a confidence thing, or fitness, but he needs to do much better than that. Things improved a lot when Finlay and Evans came on. 3pts in the bag, anyway and if the lads can nick a win on Saturday, which I think they probably can, we'll be knocking on the playoffs. Things are coming together nicely, and I can see us getting better and better like last season, after a poor start.
Just got in from having flu and covid jabs to find we are 0 - 1 up Todays lineup Belshaw, Gibbons, Gordon, Thomas, Gibson, Coutts, Rossiter, Evans, Finley, Loft, Collins Subs Jaakkola, Clarke, Anderson, Hoole, McCormick, Coburn, Jasper 1st Goal Collins 15th minute, 2nd Goal Evans 23rd minute
I had my covid and flu jabs on Monday and my arms only stopped aching yesterday! 2-0 up and it’s the Collins / Evans show so far which is fabulous.
