Match Day Thread 10 More Years Owls v Chairboys 24th Sept 22

The Chairboys travel to Yorkshire to take on the Owls at Hillsborough for a crunch game against one of the promotion favourites who sit 4th in the table after 9 games 6 points above ourselves and after a disappointing display last week and an embarrassing performance in midweek something special is required to climb the table.
Gaz has had ten years in charge of the Chairboys with two promotions one relegations with three trips to Wembley but this season is proving a difficult one with injuries to key players lets hope we see some returning to the squad.
This game is on Wanderers TV and that's where I will be watching and let's hope the lads can turn the form books on their head's and we achieve a very needed result

 

My son also said it's on Talk Sport 2 as well I suppose that would just be a commentary

 

This season I also think fixtures have worked against us a little bit tough games where we havn't been able to build any momentum either, when you look at our next four fixtures as well, Plymouth, Poxford, Peterborough & Franchise

 

We are only 10 points off auto promotion and 3 points from relegation. A long way to go but not the best of starts

Not a good day lost 3-1 we badly miss Scowen but McCleary is back next week so that should help I hope we also need Wheeler and Thompson back as well as Hanlan and Mellor

 

Oh dear, been out all day and just got back in. Not the result I was hoping for. I’m starting to think GA’s recruitment plan of wait till the last minute to sign players may have backfired this season.

 

Far too early for anyone to either be over confident or over pessimistic.
