He will be gone after Qatar and could care where he ends up, his football is dull his forward players cannot score from open play, and his defenders are simple not good enough.
That said, they play to his tactics and game plan, forget the Euros we haven't moved on more or less with the same players and gaffer.
I will agree not enough English player in the Prem and add Foden worked hard without any reward for his effort,
The players need a lift so it's Time for a change.

Surely has to be time for a change, can’t ignore what he achieved but it is just so dull to watch. Football should be exciting, especially with the attacking players we have but we are so far away from that it’s almost unwatchable.

He genuinely doesn’t seem to know how to get the best out of our players.

He was terrible at that level also. regardless of the situation he would make the same changes with the same personnel game after game you could set your watch by it, and it explains his team selections now , he follows exactly the same blue print for every occasion, he is another con man out of his depth.

Regardless of who we get as manager nothing will change whilst you have the w*nkers in charge at the FA. Get a bloke in who will f*ck the "big players" off and play players who deserve to be in the team and who want to play.
Unfortunately this will never happen cos the stuffed shirts dont give a flying one about success as long as their commercial little earners and freebies see them alright.
My other thought is are the players p*ssed off having to play in this sweet f*ck all of a tournament especially with a WC coming up and not trying.

Absolutely this. They’ve had one manager in the last 40 years (at least) like that and he ****ed himself up by telling a reporter how he could fiddle work permits and lasted one game. Think he’d have done exact what would’ve been needed and what is needed now. Southgate actuator me back into following England. He picked players on form at first and then reverted to type. Still had the 2 best tournaments in my lifetime under him mind but his day had to be done

I'm shaking my head at the criticism you're getting here.

We got beat by a speculative or decent effort on goal, which in my opinion, the keeper should have dealt with.

Take that goal away, and the match wasn't a crowd pleaser, right?...the perfomance by both teams was about equal....and therefore, we still havent won in five matches, yet you could say we haven't lost in five too.

Italy again failed to qualify for the World Cup, yet you witnessed their quality last night.

I look at the England team's performance without any negativeness....why?

Do really think that those players wanted to pull up trees to win a tournament, which to be fair, is partly designed to offer cometition against top teams to get you match fit (in the head) to help preperations for the best competition on the Planet.

Like it or not, if you were playing last night, yes you wanted to win, however, my question to you is this - Do you want to run around as though you are in the World Cup Final, sweating blood for the cause?....or are you also holding back a touch, not to get a stupid injury, which potentially rules you out of another tournament which is only held every four years?

    My glass is half full.

Southgate has improved this England team and gave the youngun's a chance too.

I'm behind the team, behind the manager, and the whole camp....

And I can't wait for this World Cup.

I wonder if the fans of other countries are so critical of their nation's performance in a (largely) successful tournament? Reading some of these posts about how England were "****e" in Euro 2021 despite being a couple of kicks away from winning the trophy. Is there an expectation that England play attacking, attractive play for every minute of every game? Or is tournament football about getting over the line and winning games.

FWIW as an impartial viewer I'd say the only game in Euros that England played badly was against Scotland. They did what was needed in all the other games and were comfortable despite some good opposition

I can’t imagine I will watch a single game of that boring crap, unless we get in the final and I’m not already doing something else <ok>

Are you talking about our last 5 games? Hungary spanked us 4-0, we lost last night. I can't even remember the score when we played Hungary and Germany. I'm not saying he should be out before the world cup, that's pointless but it's like he doesn't watch any premiership games to see how teams play. Haven't looked like scoring for goodness knows when and that's worrying.

Yeah I get your points, but I do place a lot of my thought towards players mind sets, regarding wanting to be selected for Qatar, I really do.

Germany got beat at home to Hungary last night in a tournament which is primarily designed to allow competition with the best teams, prevented by Covid restrictions over the last two and a half years.

We have an excellent chance in Qatar, and I'll stick by that.

I appreciate your disappointment mate...however, I know you will be excited like me, come November...

Based on what? We’ve been garbage for a while now. Would you fancy England up against a France or Brazil in a knockout game? I certainly wouldn’t. Dier and Maguire finished the game playing CB last night. Ha’way man.

Yes I do, but not on last night's performance, due to the reasons I've already aluded to above...

Ask if Germany could also, based on their performance, at home against Hungary...

We haven't become 'garbage for while now' (your opinion/words) ...at all.

However, I'm confident we will do well in Qatar...

    You obviously don't... (Haway man)

Fair point, other than the thin and 2nd team. I will back England even if it was a game of Tiddlewinks.

Agree Pope should have dealt with it but was left exposed by Walker. Pope looked nervous all evening to me.

If player are not going to put maximum effort into any game then they shouldn't be in the team. This competition is quite pointless just before the World Cup which means the players would be playing for their respective clubs.
Would you not expect them to put in 100% effort for the team before the WC?

Good question. It's a difficult balance, isn't it?

Normally we have a World Cup during our Pre Season, yeah? ..This time we have a mid season break to compete in the best Tournament in the World.

What does a player or Club manager want, or think?....Part of me wanted to England to enter this warm up Tounament, for competing with the best, and for mind set purposes, etc, and yeah if we'd have won this Tournament pulling up trees, and/or potentially losing players through injuries, I'd likely to be cursing it.

I'd want to win both Tounaments....but a player's mindset is highly likely do be different to ours mate...

I'll ask you, which Tournament would you rather play in ?

    And that's the way I'm seeing things from a player's / fan's point of view.....I suppose.
