Then, out came the sun and dried up all the rain but thankfully the 8 legged, miserable little fecker had drowned.

As far as I’m concerned I’m resigned to the clueless suits running the City giving Hudson a couple of games, and if they do ok they will give him a contract to the end of the season but if they don’t then they’ll bring in some old has been on the cheap.

    Sounds about right.
No doubt Hudson will be targeted with keeping us up. A bit daft really considering they just sacked a guy with experience of that with a worse squad.
I recall Dave Jones's first season nearly ending in relegation but at least the then powers in charge gave him more than 10 games to make progress.
I know this thread is about the future so I'll stop whining and say that we should now be speculating on Hudson's replacement in a few months.

It’ll be a harsh baptism of fire for him as the games come thick and fast next month including a game versus the rabble down the M4

The more that I think about this whole sorry situation, the more I can only come to one conclusion.

Morison lacked the experience and people skills to convince Tan that he could get us into a position for a realistic push for promotion.

So what about Hudson or perhaps Purse? Well along with Bamba et al, the club aren't really in a position to do anything other than take an uneducated punt at how that experiment may end.

As productive, in the moment, that NW was for us - that was based on a track record of great people management and great productive experience. MM was experienced but did not have such a good track record and could not live up to Tan's (and the Board's) expectation.

Therefore, the only conclusion that I can reach (based on common sense) is that we'll employ somebody with a proven track record that can help the club push on again. One last push, by Tan, for promotion and sustainability at that level.

    Who could that be?
To me, and against my better judgement, I would say Sean Dyche. He may not be in the style of SM's idealism but he's also not quite as direct as NW. Perhaps the answer?

(If they don't have common sense and go with someone who's unproven, then please have the good judgment to talk with Cameron Toshack who's stock continues to grow)
