I honestly just think this side lacks quality and depth.. we've got gamereas but he's not exactly Zidane he's just a good enough player... Isak looks good... Trippier is a very good player... Max and Wilson are anyways injured but they can play

Where's the real quality? Outside those players.. 5 in 25.. Nufc are miles off

    What an old woman.

Seven games and one contentious defeat and we’re going down.

I do unfortunately (Bruce pun intended) agree.

This season is going to be very average.

Wilson and ASM missing means not goals.

Not saying they'll go down im saying they're a relegation candidate and I think that's a fair assessment without wearing black and white goggles.

The other clubs are going well and the current bottom 3 won't be the bottom 3 come May.

We've won one in 7 that's not good at all.

One easy win against Forrest and nothing else.

This can be looked in two ways.

Howe has goodwill. We think he’s the man. But whichever way you look at this result it’s nothing but a disaster.

People forget other clubs spend money and most fans have an over inflated view on their players.

We've still got fans to this day that believe Fraser and Longstaff are capable for example.

The league has got better and we've still got **** players that weren't up to it years ago.

They said 5-10 years and we just have to go on with that.

We need to replace almost the whole squad to have a decent squad, the last window has been underwhelming so far, we desperately needed CM and RW. the ISAK signing even happened because Wilson got injured.. if PIF goes on that rate for the future windows, it will take even longer than 10 years.

We won't get relegated but it's going to be long boring and average season, so I expect us somewhere between 10-14.

The bedwetters are out in force essentially after one poor game.

There will always be injuries but fans will look to that not only as an excuse but also to give them false hope that one day we'll get the best 11 on the pitch.

Unfortunately over a season newcastle will have to consistently rely on the ****e they've had for years like Fraser Murphy and Longstaff....

3 completely useless players every week in a starting 11 or finishing 11 ALL SEASON

Just wrote somewhere else. We had 4 players who are not PL quality who kicked a ball today.

Murphy Miggy Fraser and Longstaff. All not good enough. No where near.

Joelinton is starting to slip into this category. There wasn’t much there today. I hope he doesn’t think he has won his battle.

He has to either provide a contribution or he isn’t doing anything.

Willock is looking more and more like a player Arsenal didn’t want.

Sigh, I agree and I am actually starting to consign myself to watching said players try and fail all season.

If we get to the January transfer window and we are bottom half to relegation. These players need to be gone.

Folders would be critical if it was Bruce with only a win in 7 if he'd been given 200 million, but he's going to make all the excuses and use all the mental gymnastics at his disposal rather than just admit that this sqaud is still poor and another struggle is likely.

I'm not being critical of Howe btw I'm just saying what's obvious

This is what I argued in the summer when I was told the owners had done an amazing job of transfers. They haven’t, they’ve done “ok” because we’re playing catch up and other teams are also buying players easily of the calibre of Burn; Wood, Targett. Even Botman can’t start yet. Isak and Bruno are quality but to 8, not top 4.

it’s going to m either be a lot longer a project than they realised or they’re going to have to do an awful lot more.

Our wins are coming from the next 31 games.

PIF may be rich but they don’t have a magic wand. The first step in the road is to stop losing. Then you look to win.

But it doesn’t happen from Ashley’s squad to Man City type squad in two windows. It takes time.

Yes I mentioned earlier that and now accept that yourself and others were correct.

Me also. I am not really that worried yet. I just think we could have taken some more risks and been rewarded.

Can anyone tell me where Anderson was today?

2 to be fair, and rather than poor games I’d say we weren’t actually poor we just can’t break teams down that are playing backs to the wall stuff against us. We’ll be fine but we need to be quicker both physically and mentally to pull this sort of thing off. If we’re playing possession football then there is no point playing willock as his first touch is non existent.

all our wide players today were ****. It’s between Trippier and Targett as to who was the worst and personally targett just edges it, but Trippier was missing today. Not once did he run with the ball even when nobody was in front of him. Miggy was far too central far too often today. Willocks touch was **** wasted so many moves by his poor first touch. Schar seems to have turned into Shelvey trying Hollywood passes with a 1 in 20 success rate.
