I’ll continue to bang the drum about how I don’t like how our system appears to be reliant on a player that we only have one of in the squad - someone who can play as a lone number 6 And that if AMN cannot cover there then I’d be moving a signing in that position pretty close to the top of our next signings list. If not right at the top. It always seemed to be the case that we fell apart when Romeu wasn’t playing. We have directly replaced him (one for one) and changed systems and are potentially in the same position Time will tell of course The problem of course is bringing in someone who knows they will be number 2 to an 18 year old. So it would need to be someone who can play equally effectively in one of the other central midfield positions. But get limited exposure at the one we need them for. Which is the tricky part. And can’t use the guaranteed game time as a selling point (although we won’t have Lavia long if we are honest)
I'll be missing this one although I may wake up, feeling tired after flying Singapore airlines to Jakarta. Flight left Schipol 11:15 but we left home early with staff shortages causing long queues from bag drop to immigration. No problems at our Singapore transit but confusion at Jakarta with a new digital customs declaration system that very few were aware of along with a simple enough vax cert check and buying a visa on arrival. I may catch the match but the in-laws might be surprised with my industrial strength language. Anyway it's a big COYR a win would be a great start to our holiday.
Jabbo, I'm sure that you will be able to select a wide range of profanities in several languages, which may not compromise the feelings of your in-laws. Or does 'The referee's a w*nker' transcend language barriers?
SA, are you in the habit of surfing underwear sites? You may be being closely monitored. So I've been told...
I actually really want to see Edozie start tonight, lets really take the game to Villa. I'm not convinced Ralph will start him yet though - in which case give him half an hour rather than 10 minutes.
Got a feeling we will struggle tonight and consecutive losses to Wolves and Villa would put a dampener on our decent start
Yes, well, given you predicted the Packers to come storming back against the Vikings last weekend I'll take that with a pinch of salt.
100% agree Tom. He should get a start after that last cameo, but Ralph will want to keep it tight to start with. The days of starting with your most dangerous players are long gone, and it's turned into more of a game of chess, unfortunately. Putting this in black and white so Ralph can make me look silly!!
I think that the 4-0 loss last season will be a big motivator for us tonight and I expect a good performance and maybe even a 3 point haul. JWP is due a FK goal too.
I like the look of that team, but not sure we’ll see it. Perraud should be fitter at least. I really want AMN to be great for us for some reason.
