Good Morning. It's Friday 16th September, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Marsch receives £10,000 fine and one-match touchline ban Jesse Marsch has been handed a £10,000 fine and a one-match touchline ban after admitting to using improper language during the 5-2 defeat by Brentford almost a fortnight ago. The Leeds gaffer was incensed when referee Rob Jones failed to acknowledge a blatant push on Summerville in the host's penalty area. Having already awarded a dubious penalty to Brentford in the first half (which broke the deadlock), Marsch snapped, and made a beeline for Keith Stroud (the fourth official). Moments later, he received his marching orders. He will be suspended for the visit of Aston Villa on the 2nd October. The Football Association said in a statement: “Leeds United FC’s Jesse Marsch has been fined £10,000 and suspended from the touchline for their next fixture following a breach of FA Rule E3 that happened at their match against Brentford FC in the Premier League on Saturday 3 September 2022. “The manager admitted that his language and behaviour during the 64th minute of that game was improper. “An independent Regulatory Commission subsequently imposed his sanctions.” please log in to view this image U21's to field strong line up against Southampton A bumper Elland Road crowd is expected this evening as Leeds U21's take on Southampton. With ten points out of a possible twelve, Michael Skubala will be delighted with the start his fledging stars have made. They are boosted by the news that Jesse Marsch has made four senior players available, as they regain their fitness following injury. With no top flight games until the 2nd October, Luke Ayling, Liam Cooper, Junior Firpo and Patrick Bamford all have the opportunity to get much needed minutes under their belts, although most eyes will be on new signing Wilfried Gnonto. The 18yo has impressed during training, and is expected to play some part this evening. Bamford and Gnonto have their work cut out displacing Mateo Joseph and Sonny Perkins, who have four goals apiece from as many games. Roberts struggling at QPR Missing a guilt edged opportunity, 89% of his duels lost, and giving away possession away on ten occasions, you won't be surprised we're talking about Tyler Roberts. He endured a torrid trip down to Millwall midweek, yet his teammates did the business, and returned to West London with three valuable points. Roberts joined QPR on a season long loan during the Summer, with the view of a permanent move if all goes well. Unfortunately, with only one goal in 399 minutes of game time, he has yet to make an impact with the Hoops, slipping down to 15th place in the WhoScored register, with a rating of 6.37. Although still only 23, the former Baggie needs to drastically improve or risk slipping down the divisions. please log in to view this image
Morning all Marsch is getting a rep and our pundits and sports media are already slagging him off for being a gobby yank. The media would love him to fail so they can all say I told you so, yanks are crap at football. They wouldnt dare say that about an Indian or a Muslim, so the reality is our sports media is racist - fact. He does need to wind his neck in a bit though. Nothing to say about Roberts as Ive said it all before. I do however hope he can sort himself out because I dont want to see him back
Good Morning to everyone from a cool Bardsey where my heating has fired in We shouldhave got rid of Roberts last seasonhe will never make it in the PLget what we can for him Wish the new boy all the best this evening .I think he has the build to be a threat unlike Charles DK who I fear would not have stood up to life in the PL
Morning all. Roberts is rubbish end of. What's left on his contract so we can terminate when over. Hope they only play Bamford for last five minutes to keep him injury free
I'm going to the game tonight. Will report on the youth players who will and will not make it later on.
Morning all Roberts and fat kev two men robbing a living. The thing with Roberts is he would be a rubbish finisher at any level even non league.
Morning all. I'm utterly fed up with all the Tyler Roberts bashing. Ffs, every time he played for us he gave it all. He never complained about being on the bench and it's not his fault that both MB and JM picked him. I get it that you don't rate him but he's not playing for us at the moment so can we please leave the kid alone? It's a fking disgrace the **** he gets. I hope he turns it round at QPR because he deserves a chance.
Hope he turns it round at qpr so he doesn’t have to come back in the summer. He’s had more chances at Leeds than any player could expect. No doubting his effort but he’s not pl standard. And it’s Matt that brought it up this morning. I just replied
He's a frustrating player. He has genuine moments of top class quality, does things other players struggle with but he then throws in 3 or 4 performances which are abysmal. Add to that his injury record and he is frustrating. I think he is a talented footballer but might be a bit thick. Doesn't seem to learn from game to game. Getting a run of games at QPR might be the making of him as he gains match experience and hopefully that is the case. You're right though. The kid doesn't deserve the flak he gets. Good luck to him. Firpo on the other hand blono.....he's just ****.
FirPo gets far more flak and hasn’t played a quarter of the games Robert’s played but apparently ok for everyone to criticise him
Tyler started the last game for QPR and they won 2-0 away from home. Subbed off after 78 mins when they were two up but obviously that's not good enough for some on here.
Jammy read QPR fans thoughts on him mate. I have no interest in him at all but Elland threw the hand-grenade. And Blono Rodrigo, Llorente and Firpo get slated almost every game and they very rarely put in shifts as poor as Roberts. He will never be good enough to play for Leeds
Weirdly Doc I was just reading their matchday thread and there seems a division in opinion on him, ranging from he didn't put in a shift, to he worked hard especially second half but nothing came off for him, a few saying he's not being played in his correct position, all in all I think the juries still out on him
Exactly. Opinions voiced based mainly on his performances with us. Personally doesn’t bother me what players who’ve moved on do unless we’re trying to move them out
