Any business has to invest to maintain the company and its share of the market. Why would they be any different. Not paying their top earners insane amounts may free up investment money

The person leading the session, said right let's brainstorm possible alternatives, he paused, and asked the PM if it was okay if he used that term? Why she said, I am not epileptic? There's a proud history of political satire, there's a TV show specifically to take the mickey out of them ... ... before TV there were radio shows and satirical cartoons before that. People, these days, often seem to fanatically defend certain politicians and parties, I don't get it tbh.
Aye. Spitting Image used to hammer both sides with an equal amount of glee. Even politicians thought it was great. It was a badge of honour to get done. Something you never see today, when you have to pick a side.
Just seen that thread closure and it’s fair criticism of me for name calling and I apologise cos it’s not a good look. At times I just want to get off the threads if I’m honest. What’s clear is that i passionately think things need to change and wealth land and power need to be redistributed help others. Of course it could happen but many don’t agree and just think I’m a leftie fantasist. Think what you like. I think many don’t care about equality and are pretty hateful about others - especially migrants and when I sense that i start to dislike some posters. Got to agree to disagree I guess which is of course hard when you see suffering at close hand and want things to change but if I call others I guess I deserve it back. Maybe this isn’t the place I should be spending any time.
I mentioned to mates today that, in the midst of the current Orwellian Group Think where everyone has to love everything about the royal family, that it was good to see a decent debate here which was mostly civil. Yes after it got petty and I wouldn't disagree with Gordon closing the thread - but bits were interesting and informative (at least to me) as well.
