8 down. Might even be able to knock them over for less then 110-120 lead

9 down. Hopefully get this final wicket without them just smashing a few extra runs.

    130 then.

    13 per man.

Or 26 for root after Crawley ducks out here.

Not been totally convincing but given how everyone has batted, solid opening partnership this. 47-0 and only 83 needed set up a good foundation

Crawley has chopped it towards stumps about 5 times, edged on the keeper never dived for and got blocked

    Luck is sometimes needed

    But....

These umpires should be fired. 33 runs needed and a full house.

Absolutely no need to come off here, none whatsoever.

They should all be turned around right now and marched back out.

Going to drag people along at cost to them rather than refunding their tickets for the sake of about 20m8js play.

    Utter utter ****s.

You'd swear none of them ever heard of cost of living.

Not the umpires fault. They’re just there to follow the rules. Cricket doesn’t help itself. Think Nas mentioned it a few times, time to make up so they add it to the end of the day.. why not start 30 mins earlier?! It’s September in England, ain’t gonna get any lighter as day goes on!

Common sense should prevail but like many sports, the people at the very top don’t have any so put in silly rules. The batsmen and fielders are the ones in ‘danger’ when light gets bad. Why not ask both captains/batsmen and see if they are happy to continue. If unanimous then get on with it.

Still good partnership by these 2. Def rode their luck but given the scores jn previous 3 innings, it’s a solid start and put any potential nerves away.

Crawley when on form is a very good player, just hope this isn’t another false dawn for him.

It’ll be free entry and likely refund for any tickets already bought. Can’t imagine anyone that isn’t within walking distance / quick train ride will go there so no real costs for spectators.

Lees was bowled through about 4 times as well. Rabada just kept bowling over the top of the stumps

Tough conditions but it was one of those that the luck was.woth the pair for once.

At least they made the most of their luck. How many times seen them and other England batsmen get lucky once or twice and then get out and not capitalise on it. Should do them both workd if good if can see this out for 10 wicket win.

Not their fault. That's the rule now. First light meter reading. The rule ****ing stinks. Not the umpires

It's ridiculous given they took it on a cloudy evening.

There's absolutely no need to spend good money policing this half hour.

Win by 9 wickets. Nice not out from Crawley. Shame lees couldn’t see it through but decent result that.

Both teams batting looking very shaky but bowlers looking good.

Lees was under serious pressure there Rabada, from round the wicket into him, the ball was going right through him time and again, who took the wicket in the end?

terrible shame they didn't just finish this with a real crowd in and have a party but i suppose toffs partying while other sports are not allowed go ahead would look bad.

Some cracking games in the WC so far, mainly involving Pakistan. 2 games lost on the last ball of the games!

England v Australia just been called off due to rain. Real shame, who’d have thought rain would be a problem in Australia!

Opens up the group though especially after irelands win v England earlier in the week.
