The cost of living crisis is mainly down to this little prick. I'm probably alone in my view that now is the time for the west to put it on Putin. Tell him to get out of Ukraine within 24 hours or we'll force him out and then level Moscow and St Petersburg before taking the gas industry under our control. Russia drew a line in the sand when they said that no one is allowed in any way to intervene in this conflict, the following weeks NATO intervened and Russia did nothing. It said any further NATO members would be a clear sign of aggression and there would be consequences, Russia did nothing. Russia said the sending of long range weapons to the Ukrainian military would be seen as direct involvement. They did nothing. Ukraine has been bombarding inside Russian territory and now a car bombing happened right outside the capital and Russia has done nothing. He's bluffed all the way through. Ultimatum time for me.
Does make him/ them look weak , but what remains is the worry that as a bad loser it would only take him a moment to sign off with nukes
With Russian missile failures like this from an S300 battery in Syria then you have to wonder about Russian air defence failures in Ukraine and how effective their strategic rocket forces are
Don't think he'd have the balls and even then he can only give the okay. I'm still not convinced they'd go through with it even in that situation. They know once they fire it, Russia turns into one big dust bowl and they and their families would be wiped off the map.
It is 9pm in Ukraine. The military command of the Russian federation has stopped sending new units into Ukraine following a dramatic Ukrainian counter-offensive that has reshaped the war and left Moscow reeling, the general staff of the armed forces of Ukraine said Monday. This information could not be corroborated. The Kremlin has yet to respond. Municipal deputies from 18 districts of Moscow and St Petersburg have signed a public statement demanding that Vladimir Putin resign. “We, the municipal deputies of Russia, believe that the actions of President V. V. Putin harm the future of Russia and its citizens. We demand the resignation of Vladimir Putin from the post of President of the Russian Federation!” read the statementpublished by Ksenia Torstrem, the municipal deputy of the Semenovsky district of St Petersburg. Ukrainian forces have gained significant ground these past few days, particularly in the Kharkiv region. Today, it appears they continued to make great strides, reaching the border at one more location in the Kharkiv region: near the village of Ternova. https://www.theguardian.com/world/l...er-supply-live-updates?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
That's not going to happen, no matter how nice it sounds. But, Chechnya's leader (russian ally until now) has said things need change, and that the current situation is very interesting. That's an interesting quote imo. Could we see Chechnya rebellion again?
Yeah, I saw something about the chechnya fella not being too chuffed and wanting to 'speak' to Vlad, diplomatically of course. Putin will get done in from his own, I've thought that from the start tbh.
From what i have heard and been told the russian people (in the main) are warm friendly people, it is Putin that is the trouble. The sooner he is gone the better it will be for us all.
I can only take as I find, but the UAE have many Russians here either on holiday or working and they are the most arrogant bunch of pricks we have to deal with. The worst expats by far i've ever come across..
I’ve heard similar comments before , maybe it’s an arrogance that comes with the money I presume they have to travel and re locate.? My contact is not much ( 4 x visits to Moscow for exhibition work) but meant seeing and being alongside some in their normal daily routine and found them as nice as anyone .
I used to have a business in Egypt, Red Sea, catering to tourists from all over the world, the stand out worst were the Russian tourists, who visited in large numbers, they were arrogant, rude, racist almost to a person.
Wonder what the Spanish think of the English crowd who visit Benidorm? Germans in a crowd on holiday aren't great either, but I've got some good German friends Not sure if you can judge based on how tourists behave
They've got a weird alpha male thing going on. We went on a glass bottom boat trip with a load of them and I think I was the only man not dressed as if I was the Captain. Most of them sat about at the resort smoking and playing cards all day every day. Then there was the 'who can dress their wife most like a prostitute' competition at dinner time.
