After awful defeat to Napoli this is a chance to get some control over the group with a win over the top seeded team.

Likely like up, who the hell knows after last weeks **** show.

Interesting rangers game has been moved to Wednesday and no napoli fans allowed in due to limitations on police resources.

not sure why they won’t have them Tuesday but will on Wednesday?

 

I can only presume the show moves south Wednesday morning.

If I were napoli id be onto uefa, as tickets have had to be sold and fans arrangement made.

 

We would have the back to back rangers games to help out whilst the other 2 play each other, but would make things a little sticky

 

I'm assuming from the first game in group that rangers will be absolutely smashed by the other two teams.

That gives me a base position that Ajax will be on 6 points and Napoli on 9 points. The worst case IMO is they trade wins. that puts them on 9 and 12 points in the group.

this sets for me a target of minimum 10 points from here to have a chance at second place.

Thats 3 homes wins plus something away at rangers. Yes a draw at home to ajax could put us on 10 assuming we also beat rangers twice. HOWEVER.... it also puts ajax on 10 points, and before considering we play them away and then cannot lose that game

therefore IMO a win v ajax at anfield is a must.

flipping this worst case scenario and saying maybe rangers so us a favour at ibrox v ajax and napoli. they might do us a favour in match day 2 but if the worst comes they play ajax in the last group game and if they are already out with no shot ot 3rd then thats a dead rubber they won't try as much in.



either way homes wins in europe are always a must.

As much as I despise the concept of the royal family and think they're a bunch of parasites, I hope he's right. No harm done with a minute silence. Doesnt mean you support monarchy... Unfortunately, I fear some fans will embarrass us.

 

I expect so to. Don’t have to like the monarchy or agree with it but doesn’t take much to just shut up for 1 minute in respect of a 96 year old

There's a lot of **** gone down however at cup finals that's not very good and politically motivated but **** it like... it's just a bit of manners you'd expect if and when more anfield legends pass away

We've just got destroyed by napoli away so we need this win. I can see the rangers game being a dog fight at ibrox. They won't play like that v ajax or napoli I'll bet.
