Davide Santon Retires at 31

Loved this lad, could play either full back position and was a decent pro for us. Scored his only career goal for us in 268 apps! Sad he has had too many injuries to continue his career.

Shame. Thought he was a really good player for us. Not had as good a lb since I don't think

 

He was ok going forward but not great defensively.

Unfortunate career ending but he's a millionaire so he'll be ok.

He was ok, nothing more, like Jose Enrique and Debuchey, he showed flashes of brilliance, but was only just about decent overall.

He feckin over achieved - Champions league, 2 serie A titles and world club cup...good for a pretty average player.

Also player of the season on one of our worst ever seasons.

Good player for us. Never understood why he was allowed to leave?

Didn’t he marry a geordie girl?

 

He was surrounded by **** at nufc apart from one season.. Not sure who replaced him but he wasn't a better player

 

Bad times. Those days are over. As Kevin Keegan said. We now have our club back.

 

Not sure if married or seeing but he was regularly seen in Hebburn of all places as that's where she was from. Poor Davide
