Apparently last time we had a monarch die TV stations were forbidden to show comedies for eleven days. So at least eleven days before we play again if she does.
Nah. The BBC are too busy ****ing off over their speculation and getting their back clothes dry cleaned and ready. They haven't even thought about the poor honest plebs
Dunno This is one of these things that the dictators don't tell the proletariat until.it suits them At this point frankly there's a lot of money at play and no actual event on. Unless they plan and sack cloth and ashes for 2 weeks you would have to wonder.
I think the powers that be will tbink it’s the right respectful thing to do, even though I can’t imagine anyone actually kicking up a fuss if it goes ahead. However I don’t think they’ll want to given having to squeeze another set of fixtures into an already crowded schedule will cause mayhem.
Looks like EPL will be postponed for a couple for weeks following the Queen's death. Good. Didn't fancy our chances against Wolves and we need to regroup
It'll be interesting to see what they do cos it's a global product where commitments are clear. I think word should be given shortly.
I've made it plain on here in the past that I'm neither for nor against the monarchy - and the Queen was one of the better examples - but I don't agree with postponing everything because of her death. She was 96 - it's not a shock or a surprise and I can't say I buy into the media-led grief-fest at her passing. Is the whole country meant to wear black and mope around for a few weeks? My view is you just pay your respects and carry on.
Ditto. If you're going to have a queen, she couldn't be bettered. That said, I'm happy Saturday has been binned - I truly think we'd have been twatted against Wolves.
