Watched the first 2 episodes of the Rings of Power on Amazon. Prequel to Lord of The Rings. Its decent so far but a bit slow. Just setting the scene. Hopefully it picks up soon, 5 seasons have been commissioned apparently

Having been made to read the LOTR books at school, slow is no more than I’d expect!!!! The way I remember it was a page of battle followed by 48 pages of trudging through muddy fields with some spoke storytelling rhetoric, followed by a page of battle and continue for what felt like ad infinitum!!! Hated it!!

Just googled that and it looks like a prequel. I'll read nothing more about it for a while, I'm only just about to start season 2 of Yellowstone and I hate it when I get spoilers.

Just started watching Reacher last night - its been on my list for a few months but finally got around to it. As a fan of the books by Lee Child I really like this one - got the casting of Reacher bang on.

Definately worth a watch if you havent already.

    Agreed - excellent casting.
Whoever thought Cruise was good for the character needs their head examined.

Older series I really liked which I don't think have been mentioned were
    I Claudius
    Prime Suspect
Rebus - but only the Ken Stott episodes.

This. I was surprised to see some people rate BCS more than BB!

Better Call Saul took a few series before the 'action' kicked in. Me personally can barely separate the two. If I had to pick then BB edges it. BB was like a violent action packed farce. BCS was more subtle. I could watch the Saul Goodman character all day.

Not a lot in it for me either but I agree BB wins, it's more iconic and more entertaining. BCS is an introspective character piece and it has some of the best cinematography I've ever seen. Depends what you're in the mood for but you can't beat Walter's journey for me.

Enjoyed the first series more than this one, but it's still a good watch and your right about thought provoking.

When watched the first season of BCS and found it to be very meh. I loved the character Saul in BB but he along with many other had great minor roles in the grand scheme of things, just like Mike, Hank, Skinny Pete & Badger.

However when you create a show about a bungling lawyer it sort of petered off real quick. BB was a masterpiece though!!!!

Bosch is excellent. Far better than Lincoln Lawyer (which was still quite good).
