Not from the replay I saw, sure the sky commentator even said he would have had to have hit it between the defenders legs.

Split second decisions and all that

Losing had nothing to do with mowbray, he lost his star man in the warm up n his attacking talent failed to.deliver.

    Just one of those games

Think Neil will be, not sure Embo is good enough though.

Id agree in the 1st half that our CMs were poor but they controlled the game in the 2nd, the issue was our decisioning making in the final 3rd was poor.

I do worry about CM depth tho

Neil was good today, hes become an easy target. He started off poor but was good after that

Embleton is frustrating as theres def a player there but doesnt do enough for the talent he has

It just shows how good a player Stewart is, not just his goals but his movement, control, vision and strength. I hope him and Cirkin are fit for Saturday

We were lost first half losing Stewart seemed to affect the whole team very sloppy. Missed the out ball and his pressing up front. We worked our way back into the game but just couldnt get a shape that worked. Have to disagree that they were the better team They had very little apart from long balls to a couple of quick forwards. That lad they have from Fulham looks very good but apart from that didn’t think they had very much Still we move on we have a competitive team Not too down hearted with tonight considering Stewart’s late injury

the sunderland bi-polar football team, from a few really good games to that, which is the worst i have seen a team play in ages, surely the loss of one player, however important, should not lead to a team playing so far below par.

beaten by a much better team and played off the park i will always accept and give credit to them but boro were hardly much better than us if they are honest and got a 'get out of jail card' handed to them by onien (no blame on him mind) as on the replays it looked as if the lad was actually going to miss the ball completely till onien got a toe to it, on another day he knocks it safe.

that ref and his assistants should be booted to non league for a while, how the hell he gave their stiker a free kick when it was obvious he was pulling our lads shorts off and never laid a hand on him was bad enough, someone needs to tell me how he managed to spot that onien had kicked the ball off his own team mates legs for that corner yet a couple of minutes later he fails to see the ball come off the head of a boro player and gave them another corner because he has me beat.

worst chant, boro lads singing 'who are ya' to a team just promoted into their league.

yes i am completely fecked off as our midfield looked as if they had all been paid off...ONE decent cross in 97 minutes and ONE attempt on target from a team that has basically played other teams off the park for the majority of games was abysmal, pritchard had just started getting into the game when he was subbed, embo is not the answer i'm afraid and i feel dan neil needs another rest, i honestly did not want to be too hard on the lads because of the start they have made but anyone watching us for the first time after hearing everyone raving about clarke would think we had all lost the plot.

Not true in my case mate, I really want him to do well.

I just don't see where he makes a big impression or does anything any decent midfield couldn't do.

I can't remember the last outsstanding thing he did tbh.

Absolutely. Think this is the only game we’ve fully deserved to lose. Unfortunately but hey ho. Mid table is where I want us. A comfortable season with no relegation worries is all I want

Probably as poor as we’ve been all season and yet we were in the game throughout, for a side that’s just come up and a very young one at that I’m still glass half full, home form will be key this year, we’ll be fine
