I've listened to the What The Falk preview podcast this morning and it had a lad from a Boro podcast on. He seemed generally sound, had plenty of good stuff to say about Mowbray. It seems like Wilder has kept his old Sheffield United style at Middlesbrough with the overlapping centre backs. Ahmedhodzic caused us plenty of problems in the game against Sheff Utd, so hopefully we have a plan for them this time. Paddy McNair seems to plan in one of these positions so we will need to put pressure on him all night. Watmore seems to be a catalyst for their high press as well, and we all know he's fast and hard working so we need to be careful not to dwell on the ball at the back. This is going to be a tough match, but I look forward to every game now.
Ba may be more likely to play than Michut as I think he has already played five games for Le Havre in Ligue 1. Good to see how strong our options are, ther's pressure to make the bench let alone the first team 7 Subs: Bass, Alese, Wright, Embleton, Ba, Roberts, Diallo Unused subs: Hume, Matete, Michut, Bennette Injured: Huggins, Dajaku, Ballard
We do not have a great record playing Middlesbrough away... Hopefully we can start to put right that record tonight...
We've probably had worse this season but he is a definite attention seeker which doesn't bode well. One thing I do remember about the game he allowed the defenders to constantly foul Stewart. Gave him nothing. Will be interesting to keep an eye on that this evening.
Ah ffs. My first post on here said I knew I recognised his name and that it can’t be a good thing. Turns out I was right. ****ing Alice band ****er who will no doubt love the spotlight being on him from Sky!!
Aye good call mate. He was called a headless chicken because of his speed but his lack of control. However, on his day he was amazing. We need him nullified if we can....massive threat.
Whilst I understand, we don’t have a recent record against them really!! Haven’t played them for 5 years have we?
Fantastic thread again RTB, well worth the extra wait. Another tough test, but they all are at this level. Our first eleven probably picks itself, but who's on the bench is anyone's guess. I'll be amazed if this finishes goalless. I fully expect us to score at least twice. If our defence stands firm, we may manage a 2-1, but I've gone for a 2-2 draw due to the unpredictability of Derby matches. Keep racking up the points lads!
