I’ve never seen Shota dig anyone out before. To have a go at Seri who came on and was easily our best midfielder on the day is bizarre.

I would be interested to see the stats of how much our players are running in comparison to other teams.

Don't think anyone is panicking - its just so frustrating to see the same mistakes repeated every game. We are too slow / static to constantly play out form the back and need to mix things up more. And throwing the ball backwards? when have we ever benefited from doing that? But we seem to do it most of the time when we get a throw in

Covil last week. Tetteh today. Didn't one of theirs get a pull early doors? The common denominator...the mkm pitch.

In any case, aside from the obvious issue of players being missing, injuries also hamper consistency of having our best larkers playing together for an extended run of games. Even when someone comes back from injury, another key player picks up an injury. Shota, the poor bastard, has had to chop and change the squad more than his underpants. Every team has its injuries but we have a brand new squad almost and they’re struggling for minutes together to build any sort of chemistry or rhythm. That’s probably why the back three are struggling to find someone to pass to.

I'd describe it as being a little bit economic with the truth...

Last thing we need right now is a player being made a scapegoat by the gaffer.

Hull manager Shota Arveladze told BBC Radio Humberside:

"We didn't score at the right time. We could have but we didn't do it.

"In the second half we could've created more but it's not easy. They are a strong team and a physical one.

"We are a little bit open defensively but we score goals. I know we didn't score today and we have to get better that's for sure."

Sheffield United manager Piggie Hackingbottom told BBC Radio Sheffield:

"I thought we were strong and played well.

"They didn't have a shot second half and to get a goal then does make it easier and we saw the game out well.

"Oli loves scoring goals - I'm delighted for him and delighted with him. We know what a good player he is and he was really, really great.

"We could've had more goals of we'd scored them and made it easier but 2-0 away from home, you'd take that all the time against the mighty tigers..."

Don't have to describe it as anything really, except it's easy to pass the blame numerous times.

Interesting that Shota mentioned physicality. Why then has he exclusively signed the Borrowers for our midfield?

He's a technical director. He gets given a squad to work with. Of course he's asked what he feels he needs but he doesn't sign the players.

This is the problem…We played a team today who looked settled having played together for a number of seasons, whereas City have brought in a squad’s worth of talent in one window and due to injuries cannot field our players to gain that cohesion and chemistry that a team needs to succeed.Sheffield Utd had that tempo to their play borne from such cohesion, and such we found them difficult to deal with.

The more games our key players can play together the better, but it’ll take a fair few games to reach any level where we can play with the fluidity our visitors showed today.Shota also needs to pick a formation and stick with it if possible, whilst all the injured players return,to at least give the players some continuity.

Shota needs some good luck regarding injuries, and time.

Said similiar at the match today, is the pitch still using a artificial plastic and grass type mix ? if so we should be looking to go back to 100% natural grass for next season, it would also explain why Hull FC are having more injuries to, certainly a area worth looking into.

It certainly brought out the worst in the 2 or 3 hundred 'Piglets' looking for aggro up Paragon St today.
