reading into 2nd place, still seen nothing 'fantastic' in the league yet with watford probably looking the most dangerous attack apart from ours...granted not been able to watch every single game but i would have expected to see at least one or two teams starting to 'stand out' by now. next game of the day, haway the welbeck!!
Yes. He's a decent manager at this level, as is his replacement here. Neil will set them up well and be pragmatic about how they play. But I don't know enough about their players really to guess at how it will work there. Certainly he'll be expecting to spend cash in the summer, but if he spends it on older hands on biggish money, they'll be back where they were when the last guy came in and was told to chop the wage bill by 60%. But I'm not bothered how he does to be honest. He isn't here now, and that's all I'm concerned about.
i think the january window helped AN here, not sure what restrictions stoke has regarding ins and outs but i think this current stoke team will take more work than we did when he arrived...think this job could make or break him (i know which we would prefer) so the long term lure of the extra money could even work out to be a lot less should he fail.
Some times things just don't work out for a manager at certain clubs. They try the same things they've done in the past but for some reason it doesn't work out. I'd laugh my ****ing cock off if that happens to Neil at Stoke
Yes, I've thought along those lines. Big rise now, but if he doesn't do well there pretty soon he'll be out. And with the way he left here not being so clever, nany clubs will just look elsewhere. He's decent, but he's not top notch, and he might not be deemed worth the bother.
