We get it. It's just we're agonisingly close. I mean, we sign Isak and I was almost positive for a few days......then we took on Liverpool with Fraser, Lascelles, Murphy, Wood and Longstaff all playing and I sank back down again.
They'll sign a couple more top players in January and next summer and then it'll be time to have a go.
Need a winger in, Fraser can cope in the league, so can Almiron but Murphy needs replacing asap. His dribble last night only to get the ball stuck under her feet and get tackled just showed one and for all he doesn't have the ability and probably the belief he can cope at this level.
Howe rates the players we don't... He obviously doesn't want to replace them... Lascelles Fraser Murphy and Longstaff are a big part of the squad for at least another year or 2
Think Lobby, Fraser and Lacselles are fine for where we are atm as long as they are the last choice for their respective positions and replaced in a few years... Botman, Schar, Burn Lacselles CB's - fine Bruno, Joelinton, Willock, another, Shelvey, Longstaff CM's - fine ASM, another, Almiron, Fraser WM's - fine. RW and CM (Tielemans and Diaby is the dream) needed though.
We've got 25 players 11 good and most the rest need replacing and it'll take years not two windows. For some reason there's a few struggling with this
I'm only struggling with the very bottom of our squad depth. For example, Murphy could easily be replaced via a loan or free / cheap signing. I'm not talking about spending multi-millions. Yes, it will take time to properly enhance the squad depth. But the likes of Murphy should be nowhere near it. Forest have signed 20 players, some for free and I bet they are all better than Murphy.
They're not seemingly keen on the **** that's on offer. They'd rather get the right players and a few weeks is nothing...
If you can get what you want in 6 months to a year that's worth it if the alternative is something you don't want and have to keep paying for it for 5 year
Maybe they can't get them either.. Bad attitude, player preferences and club politics come into play.
