Given the track record of jets I imagine it’s a rich German businessman. Or, at a push, a rich businessman of other descent returning from business in Germany.

Just to give you a heads up - by the time a player is boarding a jet the fee is agreed and the selling club and the agent has told someone like Fabrizio Romano.

Yes exactly why it is clutching at straws, never really any surprise transfers anymore, someone always seems to know in advance of the player actually arriving for a medical.

I reckon we’re not even top 10 in terms of PL Summer transfers. This is the problem, the new owners were already playing catch up, but then West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs, even So’ton and Wolves, have all done more this summer so we’ve maybe consolidated our mid table position. I’m not convinced they quite grasp what is required to truly jump forward.

I’m not being greedy, just referencing what those at the top have said a number of times.
