Perhaps it is simply a case of us not realising he was available and now moving on an unexpected opportunity. Garner sounded the same and Gakpo to an extent (PSV’s UCL failure) Just wonder why this has cropped up so late in the day
Quick and strong and comfortable on the ball. I’ve seen him a few times and always stood out, a bit like ABK in the games we’ve seen of him so far. Id imagine he would cost a lot though, and whether we’d spend that sort of money on a centre back with our options remains to be seen.
Could be, but as it stands we look like we are only going to have 3 by the end of the day (ABK, Salisu and Lyanco) You’d think if we wanted to go back to a back 3 then we’d want at least 5 to cover injuries/suspension. Maybe we get both Lacroix and Caleta-Car. Maybe it’s plan B being actioned after missing out on Gakpo, play a back 3 and no need for the extra attacking player
Everton end interest in Joao Pedro, Watford want loan with £30m fee. I’d like to think we’d be interested in that
Can't see us signing 2 CBs especially if we are only loaning out 2 CBs. Could see us with 7 next summer.
Yep. He's 34 now. You'd have thought they'd have learned their lesson with Bertrand but apparently not.
Is left back even a priority position for them? Wasn’t Bertrand effectively third choice and sucking up circa 70k per week never playing ?
So looking increasingly likely it might have just been Fab drumming up news. Never sounded realistic given how highly regarded he is
