Michut I think. Seems a confident lad and must have good technical ability to have played games for PSG

Can see Michut and Amad being able to make more of an immediate impact.

Ba. I've literally seen 45 seconds worth of him but from that alone he looks like one that could genuinely go to the top.

I do appreciate those 45 seconds are nowhere near enough to make that assessment.

Tell that to some of the knackers in the East Stand who groan as soon as there is a backwards pass

Really hoping we sign an actual striker today.

Had a quick look on www.transfermarkt.co.uk and we only have 4 recognised centre forwards across senior, u23 and u18 squads (And Harry is injured).

    Ross Stewart
    Ellis Simms
    Harry Gardiner (U23)
    Jake Waters (U18)

That leaves the likes of Dajaku and Roberts as backup currently.

Think we do need a striker in but Bennette and Diallo can both play up top, and Thompson in the u23s scored 5 in 2 as a striker

Aye fair point, I'm on about someone who would fit into the team if, god forbid, Simms and Stewart are injured. We have loads of wingers who can play as a second striker but limited when it comes to holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

Is it wrong to say all of them?

They will need time to settle and adapt, some more than others but from what I have read and seen they all have brilliant potential and I can't wait to see them grow as players.

I'm generally more excited by the players that are here on permanent deals because they are the ones that are more likely to make a long term contribution to the club. So, Ba and Bennette at the moment but, hopefully, Michut will stay permanently too.

Clarke so far. He’s coming on every game he’s going to be such a top player.

Ba looks really exciting, and let’s not overlook Ballard who looks a bit of a Rolls of a CB potentially.

We have signed really well again. Whatever the ins and outs of Speakman his recruitment has been superb.

Cirkin is ****ing daft decent. We’d never heard of him.

I am looking forward to seeing how TM feeds them into the first eleven , who on current form will take some shifting, so am expecting them to gradually replace Pritch, Evans or Neil at some stage or other.

I have no idea about any of them so I'm looking forward to seeing them all :emoticon-0100-smile

Have to say the club handled it brilliantly after the weekend carry on, announcing players at half time just lifted everyone again.

Just been reading Steve Cooper saying that the transfer window for Forest has been 'unique' due to the transition from Championship to Premier League.

Looking at the age, profile, potential, and background of the players we seem to be looking at, I can't help but feel that, after giving them a year or two's development time, that transition might not be as difficult for us.

    That's the exciting thing!

Absolutely agree. Forest have done well I think but they were unexpectedly promoted, we appear to be planning for it.

It was obviously Jack Clarke out of the earlier signings and Michut out of the late signings. But I've just taken this from over the road, an interview with Ba back in January and now it's him. It sounds like he's describing a young Paul Pogba to me.

    https://www.onzemondial.com/ligue-2...-donne-a-fond-dans-tout-ce-que-je-fais-755564

"How would you define your playing style?

I am a creative player, I like to dribble, I have a good volume of play, I like to run. When I enjoy it the most is when the ball is in my feet. As I'm technically good, I like feints, eliminating the opponent, fixing, beautiful passes... just for fun. I play football for that.

    What is your favourite dribble?

The leg pass or the roulette. Otherwise, a sequence: leg pass - knife. The knife for us is a feint strike. The leg sweep is a very effective dribble. You pretend to go to one side and finally you go to the other. It's a dribble that has served me well. The one who has the best footwork is Robinho, he's unique in that respect.

Do you feel better when you have the ball?

That's why we play football, to get the ball. I don't know any player who prefers to defend and run rather than have the ball. I run a lot though. I have a big chest. In my position, it's not enough to be good with the ball, you have to be good in all areas. You have to defend, recover the ball, make a lot of runs, press, go back and forth.

    What is your favourite position?

I like to be at the heart of the game. I like to combine defensive and offensive work. I like this role, it corresponds to my qualities. I like to play in midfield because I'm a very calm person. I don't panic, I don't stress. I see quickly, I try to orientate myself well, I always look for the best solution.

What do you mean by "seeing quickly"?

When I'm on the field, I try to anticipate. Before I receive the ball, I already know where I want to put my pass. I calculate everything. I try to know if what I'm going to do will be dangerous or not.

Can you define the right ball?

(He thinks) There is no such thing as a bad catch. But the ball must allow you to be able to move forward when you receive the ball. This will then allow you to add to the game, the goal is to bring a flash of lightning every time. As a midfielder, I don't like to pass backwards. I always want to play forward. If I pass backwards, it's because the game doesn't allow me to do otherwise. The goal is to score. And to do that, you have to go towards the goal.

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

My bulk, my technique and my one-on-one. Otherwise, I have to improve my head game, it's important for a midfielder to have a good head game. I also need to strengthen my muscles to become even better in duels. And more generally, I am very sulky and stubborn. These are traits of my personality that are reflected in my football and in everyday life.

Why are you sulky and stubborn?

When something doesn't go my way, I'll sulk easily. I get stubborn about certain things. I can't explain why. It's just the way it is. (He thinks) I always want to have the last word. I always want to be right. I'm often told that's a flaw. It can be seen as a character too. But some people don't like people who like to be right. And I understand that, with time I try to be less stubborn.

Do you see yourself as a leader?

Yes, I am a leader. But people don't necessarily see that. I'm a discreet person, I'm not the person who makes long speeches. On the other hand, on the pitch, I can be a technical leader, I can encourage others, I can put them back. I'm not going to raise my voice off the pitch, but on the pitch I don't hesitate to take charge.

How do you know if you are a leader or not?

(He thinks) You know. You can feel it. You feel something inside you, you feel that you are capable of bringing people with you. And I have that feeling.

Can you define a good leader?

It's someone who can get everyone back on track in difficult times. It's a person who pulls everyone in the same direction, who brings the team up and takes responsibility.

Do you have an example of a technical leader?

A player who is discreet but who pulls his team up: Kevin De Bruyne. He is discreet and reserved, but on the pitch he is a leader, he carries his team, he is important for his partners and for the game of his team. I really like this player. He is complete, technical, he has an incredible passing quality. As soon as he has a shot, he sends a missile into the top corner. He is the modern midfielder.

How do you become a great midfielder?

You have to work. You have to work hard, analyse the game and above all stay focused on your objectives."
