I don’t think I have ever seen the pundits not even throw in an ‘oh Southampton played well too’ before though. We didn’t even get mentioned!
Leicester remind me of Saints at the end of last season. One goal conceded and confidence just goes down the drain.
Utd are very, very hands on this season. At SMS the moment they look like letting a player past them, they automatically grabbed them, sometimes just enough to off balance a player before the ref spotted it. Other times they just hang on and should be getting carded every time. I think at least 2 of their bookings at SMS were for doing this. Missed the first half of tonight’s game and I see they are at it again.
United look solid for the first time in a while. Erik Ten George Graham. Leicester looked so flat and had no creativity.
Poor, Leicester. Poor, Rodgers. Away to Brighton won't be easy. And after that it's home to Villa - which could well see the losing manager getting sacked.
Two different Villa fans have phoned into TalkSport tonight saying the NEED a striker! WTF?! Crazy to listen to other football fans sometimes
Rodgers having a proper old moan about not getting backing in the transfer market. Makes me think about the fact that maybe Ralph did a far better job with no backing than people give him credit for.
On TalkSport earlier they were talking about how they didn’t think Brendan’s job was under threat given the statements the ownership made in the program - about “sustainability” (basically - no money / net spend) I’m not sure I agree if he is going to vocally complain about a situation he MUST have been kept well aware of It also highlights how little he understood the situation at saints back when he made his smug comments. If he did understand then he would have sanctioned transfers out earlier even for slightly cut fees to free up fees and wages and then do what we did - sign some good prospects. Unless they are even more limited than we realise and selling wouldn’t have been worth it for what he would be allowed to reinvest
Is VAR worse than ever? We've had like 4 games and I've seen worse handling of VAR than ever before. That Newcastle offside being the latest. Is it real bias because it sure feels like it, it seems to have made the officiating situation worse rather than better and there is no follow-up despite there being plenty of time, slow motion replays, multiple refs and no excuse for getting it wrong.
Hes vocalising it because he’s Brendan Rodgers and nothing is ever his fault. Leicester have gone stale and his time is coming to an end there and he wants everyone to know that it has nothing to do with him
