Gutted to be loosing Oriol who has been the backbone of this club for a few years now and wont even get a chance to give him a proper SMS farewell Wish him well and thanks to a really great bloke
Maybe JWP could lend him a few of his years at the club and Rom could come back for a much deserved testimonial/proper goodbye…??!!
Brilliant player, Brilliant servant to the club and Brilliant all-round bloke. Will definitely be missed, glad I was there to see his final goal for us. Good luck Rom, I'm sad we didn't get the chance to give you a proper send off
Gutting, brilliant bloke, fantastic player. What can you say other than that? The type of role model player that everyone can look up to. Thanks Oriol
Oriol is a Saints legend and will be missed. He gave his all for the club.He goes with our blessing and all the best for the future Oriol.
I didn't know he was a budgie smuggler. Doesn't detract one iota from the excellent service he's given the club.
Loved him as a footballer but I still think he has a future as a Bond villain, throwing people off a train. Weird, but that doesn’t make me a bad person.
Farewell Romeu! Sad to see him go, but I’m glad we let him. Cracking player, model professional, true Saint.
In the modern game its hard to find players who represent the best of the game. Oriol is one, Selfless, humble, spirited, loyal all spring to mind and I find myself unable to think of a single negative word to say about him. He will leave with a great legacy and I'm sure will be long remembered as a Saints legend. Certainly will be by me.
Sad to see Oriel leave. I always thought he added some much needed steel to the Southampton squad and you were always gald to see him name on the team sheet as you knew he would give 100%. In my opinion one of those footballers who truly lives up to the description of a "professional." He will be missed. Good luck to him in his future adventures. Always a Saint.
yet never sent off? Think that reflects his personality. The aggression he played with on the pitch was always controlled and never over the line. Hard but fair was lucky to meet him once in Winchester just after we drew Pompey in the cup. A warm person and enjoyed a bit of smack talking about our neighbours
