English accounts of foreign teams always seem to have solid humour, lol.
Good luck to Harry, here’s hoping Serie A is a league he can excel in and he can make a good career for himself.

I do think La Liga would be a better league for Winksy, but the slower pace of Serie A will hopefully give him that extra half second he needs

...and then I look at Sampdoria's squad, and worry he's going to get 'Nam flashbacks of getting overrun for the entirety of the 2019-20 season

One massive positive this window is that the club didn’t hold out for permanent deals that wouldn’t have happened but still got rid of the players Conte didn’t want anyway.

Yeah it’s been a really good window.

Feels like we’ve acted with genuine intent on incomings whilst not playing silly buggers with those wanting out/ not required.

Squad’s looking really good at the moment too, if we could add a creative player it’d be a near perfect window I’d say. We’d obviously need to see as months go by how the new and existing players do but early impressions are promising and we should be on course for a solid season.

Yeah I’d love a late addition of a creative player but that might possibly have to wait until January. Either way this is the best and most balanced squad Spurs have had in a long time.

Will be interesting to see whether Reguilon
and Winks prove Conte to be wrong.

Hopefully they will both get a decent amount
of competitive game time this season.

Gvardiol could be going to Chelsea for a 75 mill deal

I’ve enjoyed our window and you can tell Levy has had a Conte sized rocket up his arse however this was our target months ago….yes everyone said he wasn’t leaving…but as we all know time n time n time n time n time again

    money talks

should be stumping up for him because if he is as good as I was gathering from peoples possible excitement of his purchase on here…then we ****ing up here and imo as the window has worn on…it’s become more and more like a Levy one.

Not happy if they get him

    we need a CB

Doesn’t matter that Sanchez/Dier has ‘done well’

There’s a reason that we the majority share a certain view of them based on their last 3/4 years here…a few good performances won’t eradicate that feeling for the long term…we all know either are capable of regular brain farts…we just hope and pray they turn up to the games with the right frame of mind.

It's very suspicious. Abramovich may as well still be in charge, you can't tell the difference. But we know that the club couldn't function as a business under his ownership because of the spending and wages, so how is it going to do so now? Surely the wage bill is similar if not higher than before. Before it was given these dodgy non-repayable "loans" to keep going, so what will be done now? The club surely can't sustain itself financially, which is a situation we'd sadly expect if owned by a gulf state, but not American owners. And all we get from the club is a sense of entitlement, and all we get from the pundits and media (save the Private Eye article) is a sense of awe at the spending, rather than caution.

No doubt that we need a centre half and are a significant injury to Eric Dier away from having some real issues at the back.

Whilst money has been made available to spend and attempts have been made to sign Bastioni and a number of others, there's no chance of the club spending a club record transfer fee (by about £20m), which equals the world record transfer fee for a defender, to leave the player at the selling club on loan for a season. Only a club awash with dodgy money could contemplate doing that. We're not that club.

With Gvardiol going to Chelsea, the hope has to be that we can move on to other targets and try to land one before the window shuts.

If you’re looking for good shish/ kofte ones then Can Ciger (Spur Restaurant) is good but a tad pricey, won’t quite need a bank loan, just maybe an overdraft.

If you’re looking for a greasy doner then go Diamond Kebab and get a large doner wrap, the thing is like a weapon, reckon you could knock someone out with it.

Both are along the high road, Can Ciger is literally bang opposite the stadium, Diamond Kebab is a bit further back going towards Edmonton, only a 5 min walk though.

Something seems dodgy, I think they are buying him but allowing him to stay at Leipzig for the season. I would think that the fee will mainly be structured from next season. They have spent a lot of money but I don't think they have spent very well. When I look at there squad it looks poor in comparison to a lot of top European sides.

I think a new senior CB signing will depend on if Japh stays or not, as of right now it’s looking likely he’ll stay as last I saw Milan were close to signing someone else (may have already done so).

With Romero, Dier and Davies as the first choice trio and Sanchez, Lenglet and Tanganga as the second choice trio, it’s hard to see the club signing a 7th senior CB.

It's highly unlikely that we will have 2 senior CB's out at the same time for a long period of time, but I worry about a back 3 with Tanganga and Sanchez. Lenglet is a bit of an unknown quantity at the moment. However, Conte must like him or we wouldn't have signed him.

There's a cafe called the "Barca Cafe" on opposite side of the road to the ground going towards 7 sisters...only a 3 or 4 minute walk from ground. Do some decent food in there.

A local Sheffield reporter, Nathan Hemmingham, has said a few things about the Lankshear deal:

Lifelong Tottenham fan as is his Dad.
He and his Dad really pushed for the move.
Brentford were also interested (which is a better sign than some may appreciate, as they’ve been excellent at spotting striking talent in the last 5-6 years).
Scored 38 goals in 48 games between the 18s and 23s last season.
Sheffield obviously didn’t want to lose him but scholarship ended next year and considering they only signed him for nothing last summer after he was released by Arsenal, a deal of £2.5m+ is excellent business for them.
