...have they offered him ten times of what he is earning now? I mean, he is going to play second fiddle to de Gea as he would have been by staying with us, so why change now? Did someone mispronounce his name like how Kinnear did by calling Nzogbia "Insomnia" causing him to leave?

Can’t blame him for wanting the manu experience at his age. This is his last big move.

He ain’t getting a bigger club now.

As long as we get a good deal and we spend it wisely I wish him well.

Guessing that he's become a bit disillusioned at being bumped down to number 2.

I suppose it frees up wages for us that we can use on outfield players.

His heart isn’t in it.. tara Dubs. His reputation at NUFC is tarnished. When we are consistently looking down at Manure he will regret it.

My thinking precisely. Why would he leave a promising project to join a club that has toxic relationship between owners and fans? Strange logic this ...

Don't see his reputation being tarnished, it's not for me. He did well here and thought he was going to be number 1 keeper through the project. Man U will be playing more games than us this season with Europe so he is likely to play more there than here.

If him leaving frees up wages for Diaby or Maddison to come in then I'm fine with it

Its an odd move unless they have told him that he will definitely play in all non PL games and so with Europa League he gets more game time.

However if it was about game time he would have been better going to a Bournemouth or Fulham. Suspect he thought if I am going to sit on a bench I might as well do it on a better paid one.

    Good luck to him anyway.

It's obviously a masterplan from Ashworth & Howe.

Day 1, Dubz nobbles De Gea in training to put himself in #1 position.

Rest of season, Dubz purposely concedes lots of goals every goal to help Manure implode.

End of season, Dubz returns to Toon a hero.

**** him, man’s a pussy. No balls to fight for his place and no brains to see how this ends. Onwards and upwards.

Sounds like its a permanent signing now. Good luck to him. Maybe he has been promised Europa League games so better being reserve goalie there rather than here.

I'd rather have an unhappy Dubravka than a happy Darlow like.

Wasn't a no brainer for Newcastle United.
IMO if the player wanted to be somebody else's backup then he should have been sold.

As it is he may not be sold, but come back when Henderson comes back to them from Forest.

United will sell one of de gea or henderson next season. Probably henderson unless has an absolute stormer this year. After the stuff he said when he left, no way he goes back there and becomes 2nd choice

Yeah. Plus the chance to play in Europa.
And to be at Man United.

I get it from his perspective.
I get from Man United's perspecrive
I just don't get it from NUFC perspective.

Unless he was being disruptive and throwing his toys out to get a transfer (which Howe has said the opposite, saying he's been very professional), then what is the sense for NUFC?

IF we were to consider it, we certainly should have got them back for the stupid Lingard loan farce in January and quoted them a ridiculous amount to see just how desperate they were.

    "the Man U experience"

What's that? Sitting on the bench and never playing, and after a few months of signing, most fans forgetted you're even there?

Agreed with the general sentiment, from being a well respected member of the squad who helped keep us in the league, he's jumping ship at the first sign of a battle for his position. He can **** off and play second fiddle in the Europa League this year and then probably not again before he retires. Good riddance.

Should stay and fight for his place and the club - whoever is making the decision - should not be allowing it we need a decent second keeper and Darlow is not good enough for the Championship let alone cover for the first team in the EPL.
