lol yeah so anyone who sees the squad is **** and doesn't want to stick around to try and keep a crap side up without getting any financial support just has a defeatist attitude. When you see the other promoted sides getting financial support and having big ambitions and your squad is obviously not good enough and you're going to have to try and keep a championship squad up, then you'd be pessimistic also. Parker didn't say they had no chance, he implied his squad were not good enough, and that is clearly true. Your promoted relegation rivals are being supported significantly by their owners, you're not and you're expect to stay and hope to christ you can over achieve yet again. It would dishearten anyone. Anyone and their gran can see Bournemouth are ****ed. Their squad is garbage and desperately needs strengthening.
Dundee Utd sack Ross Dundee United have sacked head coach Jack Ross just 10 weeks after he took over at the club. The decision follow’s Sunday’s 9-0 thrashing at home to Celtic, which leaves them bottom of the Scottish Premiership table. Sooo, it's all to do with losing 9-0 then. It's a curse.
Maybe the owners weren’t expecting it though? Maybe they’re realistic and said to him, we’re putting long term future first. We aren’t going to invest massively now. We’ve seen you beat villa 2-0 opening game which is great. We’ll give it to January when we’ve played most other teams and see where we are? who knows, he may have gone and win 2/3 more games against bottom half sides in September and been mid table having already got 3 tough games out the way? maybe they’ve said we may go down but we won’t sack you if we do as we know your limited by the budget but we want to build the club onto a stable financial footing. Rather than risk £100m of tv money on signings and wages, and risk going down (like you did with Fulham 2 years ago) and then being in the ****ter and suddenly having to sell a load of players and becoming a mid table champ club for next 5 years
Put it like this. stay loyal to players you have and got you promoted. If you go down, majority will probably stay because of that loyalty and will give you good chances going back up, with the tv money still in pocket plus parachute payment. Or, spend load of money replacing half your team. Get relegated, those 5/6 players want to move as don’t wanna play in champ. Suddenly lose them, having already lost 5/6 players that got you promoted and suddenly need to buy another 5/6 players from other chsmp squad for more money in hope can get you back up
No he didn't. He took a LEAGUE TWO side called Bournemouth AFC and turned them into a Premier League side.
This sounds also like a defeatist attitudes, this also sounds like one here, an assumption that they're probably going to get relegated even if they strengthen and hope that, what, the 3rd, 4th, 5th time being promoted is the charm? The club has been in the higher tiers of football for several years now. It spend years in the premier league, got relegated and then promoted again. How ****ing long do they need to be in a position to strengthen? The owners clearly a not in a position to be able to take the club forward, so they should probably sell. It's not as if they only got promoted to the championship 2 seasons ago, they have spent more of the last 5-6 yrs in the PL than the CC. And after all those years they're only going to give their manager £20m to spend? Pathetic. I find it very difficult to believe this is all they can afford, and if it is, then they should sell for the ethical reason of not being able to take the club forward,.
Im not sure how long owners have been in? Maybe they’ve been stung from previous managers (mainly messiah Howe) throwing away money on players like Ibe and Solanke while in the prem and going down? Also while yes, they may have been in prem numerous times, if you look at size of the club and turnover etc, Bournemouth should be no where near it. Their stadium is small and poor, they don’t have a large fan base so they can’t generate large income on their own.
They probably will hire Sean Dyche and expect his dross aged football to miraculously keep them up. Forgetting of course, Burnley were relegated twice under Dyche, it was after their first relegation with him that they allowed him the mold his team to be a long ball machine.
No idea who Knutsen is, but if Wheezing Ginge is the favourite, and Chris Wilder, Woodgate and Jon Terry just behind, then things look bleak for Bournemouth:
Bodø Glimt. Norwegian side. Basically turned them from second division minnows into the Norwegian Champions who beat Roma in the Europa Conference. A trait **** teams like Leicester couldn't do
Success in a micky mouse league is always dangerous though, ie Solsjkaer going to Man U from Molde and Gerrard going to Villa from Rangers, lol.
I'm glad he's gone. As some will recall I live in Bournemouth 10 min walk from the ground and go as often as I can. He's gone about this all the wrong way. Basically he was always the wrong man for the long term in Bournemouth's current position. You've got to realise it's very very complicated for a club their size to go out and spend big to stay in the prem. They simply don't have the infrastructure to support kind of spending. The 1st time they were in the prem they looked at many different opportunities to try and improve the stadium and other facilities in order to create a product which can attract better players, generate more revenue etc but they can't do it on their existing site for a few different reasons and finding space outside of town is difficult, the cost to build a whole new stadium is prohibitive and if you asked them, the fan base additionally don't want to swap their nice stroll to the ground via a few beers in the pub with their mates for a drive to a soul'less out of town complex. I used to like Parker as a player but not been at all keen as a manager. You all know what Eddie did with that side. He coached them into a really good team with even less resources. Parker has just been openly whining about his position for ages knowing he wanted out to make the club look like the bad guys so he can leave supposedly reputation in tact.
Wonder if he fancies Wood back to fit that style Although they've got Kieffer Moore who's about 7 foot
