Work with a lad with 3 year old twins. He’s just turned 40… he’s aged about 20 years facially n the last 3!!!
Age means **** all till you die, then others say he died young or he had a good innings. I'm stronger and fitter now than I was 20 yes ago, just workout and eat right, and love those around you.
now it seems done and dusted, We lost AN we have (so it seems) Mogga......We have a big game tomorrow and we all should get behind the team. I've learned in life that s hit happens and last week for SAFC it happened big time. Its not Mowbrays fault, he's certainly not my first choice, but I don't own the club, but he will have my full support as all I want is the best for SAFC. A win against Rotherham will heal a lot of open wounds.
Over the past couple of days I've calmed down a bit over the news that it might be/could be/is Tony Mowbray and realising that the owners are trying to run the club within certain limits so instead of me thinking they're cheap skates I'm coming around (slowly) to him being manager but what I still cannot get out of my head is the fact KS has said that the head coach job is an ongoing procedure so we can get the right person in for the route we're taking. I don't think tony mowbray fits the profile as much as say the others that have been mentioned but if he's here then we all have to get behind him
Comes across very well. Personality and integrity is massive. Gotta look after your players. It's how you get longevity. Ferguson, Bruce, klopp, Warnock. All similar qualities
I think something to bear in mind here is his relationship with Stuart Harvey. Harvey knows how Mowbray operates. It's not someone who has got the job off a good interview and presentation. It's through having worked with some of our team for several years. They know what he can offer, and conversely, you have none of the Alex Neil type friction because Mowbray is fully aware of Harvey's ability and remit. He has referenced the data driven model that Harvey implemented at Blackburn previously so it's something he's familiar with.
Aye decent post. I had my fair share of posts that were raging over the weekend. But have to get on with it now.
Good point and it's something that I've not really realised, I suppose the biggest reason why people are Naffed off is the way that Neil has orchestrated this move with no respect to anyone associated with the club in any capacity (it is for me in anyway). I think many like myself after the dust settles will come around, let's just get on with it now and in a way I'm glad he's in before the rotherham game as I never want to see dodds and proctor in charge of anything again even the tea.
I do think it's important that we're not the biggest clubs he's managed. He's got more than enough experience to deal with the stick and abuse he'll unfortunately get for parts of the can base (all fan bases are the same)
If we try and take emotion out of it. All that has happened is a championship level manager left. We replaced him with another championship level manager. I think we will probably all agree, as a club we want to be Premier league. In the future both will be seen as stop gaps on our way back to premier level football.
That is so harsh, spent a year getting them promoted and then one battering from a top 5 team in the world gets him the sack
