Can I also add whilst the roles are crucial they are also being covered while we look to appoint new staff. It's not like no one is looking after them

Alex Neil is a bit of a **** for ****ing off less than 24 hours before a game

    Which could be interpreted as-

Neil wanted to be a manager not a head coach but was desperate to get back in football so he took the job, fully intending to leave for the first half decent managers job he was offered.

Why don't you fancy Mowbray out of interest?

If reports are correct about his coaching and development of younger players, he's a decent fit l?

He’s not a sexy appointment. He’s a safe one. There are merits to both but some of the abuse / derision he’s getting is ridiculous.

Nee one can say Alex Neil was an inspiring choice when he was appointed either mind. Him and Mowbray both sound like boring bastards however we aren't going for a pint with them. See what happens.

Social media football fans that, everything is either brilliant or horrendous, they can’t fathom that sometimes things are just fine

Plays decent attacking football, good developing younger players, knows the league, local lad.

Ticks a lot of boxes for where we are at present though

Absolute same mould as Alex Neil to be fair. I can't say nowt as the last manager I was excited for was David Moyes. ****ing painful.

They seem to want a sexy appointment for a football manager but not for a prime minister , slightly two faced.

All supporters can do is show their disappointment in the hope that the mediocre appointment is reversed. If not, we will support him for the inevitable short time that he will be in charge. Hope I'm proved wrong of course. Just feel like I've been punched in the gut and had all of my optimism taken away.

absolutely no problem with expressing disappointment. It’s the barrages of “**** off mowbray” etc on Twitter at the moment that just aren’t helpful

Mowbray will get more than a fair crack of the whip, we always back them until it’s obvious they’re failing.

He is a steady championship level manager. If we’d just been relegated and we’re desperate to go up I’d have said not a good choice.

As we’ve just been promoted and are seemingly looking to a top half finish this season I say it’s a decent appointment. Could have done a lot worse and at least The 2 so called coaches/frightened rabbits in the headlights won’t be sat bricking it on the sidelines making no decisions on Wednesday all being well.

The later point of your post is very true. With mowbray already seeing the players today I would hope for a good response Wednesday
