There is a problem with Pritchard lasting the 90 mins. If you look at his record since being here it is very rare he lasts the game. In the championship it seems he is knackered 10 mins or so sooner, but that might just be my imagination. Whilst he is a very important player for us, it is a major problem for the coaches. If you know you are always going to need to sub him, it doesnt half restrict how you might go early with subs. He is so good he has to start, but we either find a way to get him able to last longer, or start to plan for his replacement.
He did. They're all in it together tbh, always looking for the next gig so don't want to rock the gravy boat.
I think your experience will allow you to answer this question with a bit more knowledge than me. There seems to be an issue with the team lasting the full 90 minutes this year and conceding late. Compare that to last season when we were scoring goals late to win or draw. Is this down to a step up in league meaning the lads are working harder to compete with better teams so they are wearing themseleves out? They have not prepared enough fitness wise? Or are we not making subs soon enough when the lads are out on their feet, I know this is the case but was AN just making those subs last season and he wasn't this season? I feel like lads are working harder due to better opposition so tiring easier and changes have been slower coming. I think AN has tried to use it to say he needs additional players to strengthen the bench!

Same as your mates , stating the obvious. Not here to be a prick. I asked for news from itks when all this crap with neal happened. Was radio silence until a few things started to come out about it ,then all of a sudden the itks come out of the woodwork stating they knew the craic. I've noticed this board has even started questioning them more often. As I say Not hear to cause bother but don't like these false itks lying to fans to feed their ego .
It's simple. Prehab = Great ITK, he tends to be spot on with everything he says. BobTheMackem = Tends to be wrong with everything he says.
Coincidence bobs a late comer to the forum , so criticised easily. Prehab said Friday night neal was going nowhere. So not so great. As they or he says.....things change.
A quick search on your contribution to this forum seems to indicate that you are mainly here to target certain itks. Your only thread was about RTG - that says it all really. There are other threads available to discuss Alex Neil
Bob claimed to know Broadheads wage but quoted different figures across a few days. He's been right about nothing and only posts rumours that are already doing the rounds. Prehab doesn't need justifying.
I think you have said it right mate. Take Pritchard out of it because he does seem to be a player that struggles to get 90 generally. The team will have to work harder against better sides, that is key to it. We will have less possession, like yesterday, and we are therefore chasing more. The higher the level you play at the more you see teams playing to win a game late, they will manage the game and then push late if it looks like it is there for them. All our home games have looked like that so far. The better coaches will sniff out any tiredness coming and jump on it. Our coaches this season havent been able to respond appropriately (and I dont think it is down to a lack of quality on the bench). One thing I think the new coaches need to get a handle on is how we take a breather in the game. It is not possible to play at the intensity we want to for 90 mins really. There are times where you need to take the sting out of it and play a bit of keepball across the back. The best teams do this well. We seem unprepared to do it, even though we have the players. 2 or 3 minutes lowering the tempo a couple of times each half would make a massive difference to us IMO. It is just clever energy management. I can bet Corry Evans has seen that done at international football and would easily be able to make that call on the pitch for us. Lastly our subs just need to be smarter. We know Pritch is off between 60 and 70 - it seems pre planned. Make that a double sub, and get two new lads on, or at least be prepared to. Another 1 6 or 7 mins later should be in the playbook. Embo, Matete and Roberts are all reliable at this level, and all have high energy. Alese into the fray and Clarke higher is another I would trust. 3 or 4 fresh sets of legs will make a massive difference in the last 20, and you will see other lads find an extra bit of energy too, that is the pyscological part. Dont write of the psycological part of the game too. Last year we were the ones getting results in the last 10 minutes. There is a danger this season we are on the other end of it. Not sure what we have in terms of sports psychologists at the club, but it is worth thinking about.
I think it's this. PLUS the fact we don't have quality on the bench, pretty much any substitution weakens the first XI
Does anyone else find it a concern that we all know Pritchard is coming off after 60 or 70 minutes, so the opposition also know that. Is that something we can work on to get him to 90 minutes?
Put a lot more intersting thought into it than I could mate, as expected when I asked you. Good read that .
On this subject and thinking about Pritchard , I have never played football, never mind coach it , but my idea would be to start without him in home games and bring him on as an impact sub at half time, What amuses me is how annoyed he looks to be coming of , is this just playing to the crowd as he was running on empty after half time on Saturday. Our substitutions this season have been very poor Sheffield United game apart, when AN made a brilliant triple substitution, which scared the life out of Sheffield United, so much so that they were pleased to hear the final whistle against 10 men they thought were down and out before the change, this proved we have the bench when required, we just don't have anyone other than AN who knows how to use it imo. Lets hope the next head coach can achieve the same level of game management as the last, he was a master at it as he has proved. OaU.
Why could you not take my opinion on board instead or raking through what's been said before? As I said no witch hunt here. Just don't like fellow fans lying to others to stroke their ego. Even this forum have started questioning it.
Bob tries to go into more detail which he shouldn't really. As prehab says things change. Why does pregab not need justifying? If you question him he undermines you and has his little followers backing him up. Same as he did over the road until people seen through him. Mate he's hearing stuff what we hear and puts a tiny bit meat on the bones. No one has been at the club that long that he would have this contact. Like I said he said nothing about Neil until things started to come out.
Was a joke what mickey gray come out with. Saying all the fans thought the same. He is ridiculously out of touch with the club, and he couldn't give two flying farts about is.
