I have to agree Luke, I watched this in real time and I felt no big issue with no penalty award. It's a classic case where watching the isolated event after the fact distorts reality.

True but the other side of that coin is for fans of opposing teams to be critical of such joy, that's football rivalry. As a Spurs fan I was hoping to see Palace take something from that game and when you scored the winner at the end it was disappointing for all but Arsenal fans. The celebrations feel like the lane switching driver who also gets to pass the lights and avoid the hold up.

Fair comments and I agree with all you say. However, I’m a Spurs fan and I don’t like Arsenal and I don’t like your odious manager and I don’t enjoy seeing any of you celebrate on my tv screen thank you. <ok>

Don’t get me wrong, I get it, and I understand why rival fans don’t want to see us being happy (which goes both ways naturally).

When you beat Leicester with those two late goals from Bergwijn at the King Power, I was fuming. And it didn’t help seeing all the Spurs players jumping on top of each other and embracing each other. But I couldn’t blame you for the plethora of emotions on display either.

Truthfully, I think the reason why those type of comments bother me is because I’ve been hearing them way too much from players AND pundits this year.

Ruben Neves said we celebrated like we won a trophy when we beat Wolves.
Ashley Young said we celebrated like we won the Champions League when we beat Aston Villa.
Chris Sutton said we acted like we won the league when we beat West Ham.
Andy Gray and Richard Keys yesterday said we were over celebrating as we’d ‘only beaten Fulham’.

The narrative is tiresome and, frankly, players and ex-players should know better.

From pundits who over react about everything, I agree with you.

The Villa game is some interest today.

The result will determine what setting the
Spanners have their "cup final" dial is
likely to be on for wednesday.

He slaps the first one and his arm is in a completely unnatural position. Handball.
It just lands on his upper arm for the second one and it's above the t-shirt line. Not handball.
He slaps the ball away for the third one, which is really obvious from behind the goalline. Handball.

Man Utd have played 4 league games and got the benefit of massive calls in all of them.
McTominay should've been sent off twice and is now allowed to play rush goalie, apparently.
    Bent as ****.

    From the BBC live thread:
Jay: Gerrard is clueless and out of his depth at this level. Get him out of my club before it's too late.

    Gerrard and Lampard out!

I guess it won't be "11" then (lessens injury risks to Spurs players ?? ) .

Liverpool scoring nine almost immediately becomes less impressive when Celtic do the same thing less than 24 hours later

Man Utd have been absolutely ripped off this transfer window. Their three big transfers for around £200 million is madness. Shows the level of desperation that they have fallen to having to chuck money around like this to get signings over the line. Anthony is more like a £30-£40 million player absolute tops. Christ they could have had Bergwijn for £25 million (who is an equivalent player IMO) and saved themselves about £65 million!

Looks a very skilful player but his stats aren’t overly amazing in the Eredivisie and that along with the Bundesliga are often stat-padding havens for forward players. €100m does seems nuts, can only presume ten Hag having worked with him before feels he can go on to become a monster of a player.

Casemiro should be worth every penny to be fair, world class DM so can understand shelling out on him. Any team in need of a DM would pay whatever the asking price is for him.

The little hobbit though… really think they’ll need to go to a back three to get the best out of him. He’s got a bit of Romero about him with his tenacity but ultimately was bullied by Welbeck in the Brighton game, targeted by Brentford and hauled off because of it and even in his best game so far against Pool, Salah still scored from a header. Can’t help but feel any team with a 6’+ forward will look to hit a number of crosses or high balls into the box.

Forest signing Aurier and Lodi. Looks like very good business for the full back/wing back positions so key to the way they play.
Do Forest need a couple more signings?

Why not? They've only made about 20, so far.
