On the time wasting; after a Saints attack that went for a goal kick, Martinez definitely saw De Gea had the ball, immediately looked to a ball boy & shouted for the ball, which he duly obliged & obviously wasted time with 2 balls on pitch - blatant cheating. Ref obviously saw something as he had a “no action” chat with him. I suppose a positive we forced them into that position but jeez do I detest that sort of stuff!
Something, anything. We know 100% Stu & probably Mara are coming on around 65mins which leaves us with zippo really. Definite deficiency.
It's farcical that the PL's solution for speeding up play is...the multi-ball system. Clamping down on time wasting at goal kicks should have been their number one priority. First time a warning, second time a yellow card. Done.
It’s honestly amazing that our new signings are all good. For them all to come in and look like an improvement.. just credit to everyone at the club. Lavia and ABK in particular are really, really special. I think Lavia might be the best CM since Morgan in his prime. What a talent. I can’t believe he’s so young.
Great game. Not happy with the performance at all. Or the result to be honest. Could easily have gone either way. I thought the criticism of Che was harsh. He was the classic target man today and was nearly always in the box when he should be. So many players around him benefitted from him reverting to a classic CF role.
Agreed. And now they’re surrounded by better players, Adarma and Djenepo don’t look out of place at all
He reminds me of Pirlo TBH. He's a deep lying playmaker and he has that ability to find space or to simply create space for himself. Now, he's got a long way to go to reach the heights of someone like Pirlo but I honestly think he has the talent and attributes to reach the very top. It's scary to think he's only 18.

I'm sure the referee saw it. But he, like every other referee, just allowed it. They're pathetic in that respect. The occassional wave of the arm. Maybe shout the odd word. But nothing meaningful. It happens every week all across the country, and it will continue to happen until the referees are told to clamp down and start getting their yellow cards out (and not just from the 89th minute onwards!).
Ah mate! All I've ever wanted to see is effort and graft. Do I expect us to beat United/City/Liverpool? Of course not, I just want them to try their best. Their top signing is pretty much the value of our squad, 9 times out of 10 we'll lose. I'm OK with that. We didn't score today but that triple block was as good as a goal for me. The commitment and effort from the lads for that, putting bodies on the line makes me a very happy camper. Apart from the refereeing, I've no complaints today
