Sick. I know we’ve had a decent start to the season but this is a horrible feeling now. Must get the right man in but that’s a lot easier said than done… Dreading tomorrow.
.As I said over the road. It was all agreed yesterday. He is coming to get games at Sunlun. Not for a manager who he will not see in 8 months time when season ends
Was the one year rolling contact thing not at Neil's request? He's had the same elsewhere but as far as I'm aware we've not had anyone else on that - was Johnson (he was appointed by Speakman/KLD in all but name)?
I’ve been on a massive bike ride to the Peak District. Expected to log on and have two new signing la and this !! Tbh Neil knew our strategy. He should have said no. Leaving us at this time is a selfish bastard ****s trick. Whatever the issue you do the right thing. He hasn’t.
Good job at Luton but a really poor one at Stoke. I don’t have a clue where we go from here. Sick tbh
This we were here before neil and we were all guna be here after him no matter what the circumstances, it’s a blow but not one we can’t recover from we have a good young squad here plenty positives and plenty to attract the next manager
I’ve calmed abit since dinner time, still gutted how it’s ended but we’ve recovered from worse than this, we have a good squad additions will come regardless we signed matete and Defoe (i know) without a manager, still the potential to have a very good season here
A quote from the Preston message board, Sunderland have got the best out of him before the frustrations inevitably start.
If we can attract Neil and the likes of Pritchard, Roberts, Clarke etc in league 1. Who knows who we can get being 5th in the championship with a young, hungry talented squad (obviously still needs strengthening)
just saw somebody say similar on another forum. he's a good manager for a year and then gets impatient, apparently
Sadly I’m just the same. I honestly can’t remember feeling worse as a manager goes. Even big Sam. Whether that’s because he stepped up and Neil has jumped down or what. Literally feeling like I don’t want to go tomorrow. I will go, but I think the atmosphere, if we don’t start well, will be dreadful
Good point Wick lad. I have been pissed off since coming out if meetings and having a few conversations about the ins and outs. But , you're correct. Club first. Always. Just wish there were better decisions getting made.
aye and whether the club were right or wrong with anything, I dont like at all that he's walked out on the club the afternoon before a match. thats just not right. history wont look kindly on this move from him
I don't know mate. I hope it was, because we might offer better terms to the right candidate and better quality candidates might apply. Seems strange though, if reports are true, that Neil is accepting a longer contract at Stoke, if he prefers the rolling contract.
