It's the heavy wallet that's done it I guess?

Perhaps it's having to bend so low to get into his new Lamborghini

You have the guy all wrong. It’s not about the money. He dislocated his shoulder doing the Leeds salute.

Fair play of them to arrange a Raphinha v Phillips friendly, assume we'll get the proceeds ;)

    From the programme-
    21
The 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the weekend was Leeds United's first win over Chelsea for 21 years. The last occasion was also at Elland Road, on 28 April 2001 - 2-0 with goals by Robbie Keane and Mark Viduka.

So, Man City get a bye in the league cup because they play too many games in Europe. Then they arrange a friendly for that date.

Time to make them play in the league Cup then?

We’ve had a great start to the season and I know there’s still time left in the window but I think due to the good start the board are happy with the squad but is anyone else worried that we’re only 1 or 2 injuries away from disaster. For example if Rodrigo or Struijk gets injured Gelhardt and Hljede will have to come into those positions and looking at last nights game those two aren’t ready to be starting week in week out in the PL. There’s no proof Bamford or Firpo will ever be able to get fully fit again and nothing to say Rodrigo’s form will continue. Just feel like they’re rolling the dice a bit like last season with CM and that only just paid off. They could obviously prove me wrong and we have an amazing season, I just think it’s a bit frustrating that we’re only a couple of signings away from a really strong squad that will be able to compete in the PL and the cups.

Think it’s a difficult one, at the moment it seems a happy squad but most fans feel we are short of cover at CF and LB. That was my view before the season kicked off, and it’s difficult to think otherwise.

I expect Firpo will improve, now he is no longer required to man mark, but feel we need experienced cover for him due to him being, so far, injury prone. On the CF issue, I do feel Paddy will get over his injury malaise. But for me we still need a (preferably) experienced player to act as competition for the central forward positions. I think Gelhart’s gonna be a very useful player, but he’s not ready for 90 minutes EPL this season. Though it’d be good if he proved me wrong.
